Yoriichi had 3 people he loved most in his life: his mother, his brother and his wife, all of whom he kept mementos of. The memento from his mother is the Hanafuda earrings she made for him. Yoriichi gave those earrings to Tanjirou’s ancestors, Sumiyoshi and his family, who then passed them down to their offspring until Tanjirou inherited them from his father, possibly to give them the same protection of the Sun God his religious mother prayed for. The memento of his brother, Michikatsu, was the flute Michikatsu made for Yoriichi, which Yoriichi kept with him until the day he died. Now, have you noticed how Yoriichi wrapped the flute in a white cloth when he was a kid? Look at what he kept the flute in when he dies in Kokushibo's flashback. He kept the flute in a pouch made of a fabric with a flower pattern. Why did I point this out? Because that pouch, or rather the flower-patterned fabric, is actually Yoriichi’s memento of his wife, Uta. The fabric was made from Uta’s kimono she always wore. While Yoriichi did give away the earrings to his dear friends, Sumiyoshi and his family, he still kept the two remaining pieces of the people he loved with him, right up until he died. Also of note, while Kokushibo kept the flute on him until he died, he didn’t keep the pouch made from Uta’s kimono (naturally as he never knew Uta). This is tragic in a very unstated way, as the pouch was the only thing remaining of Uta after she died, the only proof she was ever born and existed aside from Yoriichi’s memory of her. So after Yoriichi died, Uta truly died with him. And somehow, some people say that Gotouge-sensei can't write...this is absolutely ridiculous.

Remember that because of the see-through world Yoriichi only sees naked people at distance

I honestly thought Yoriichi was just going to have one of those “loner that trains in the mountains for years alone” type backstories but it was so much more tragic than that he pretty much lost everyone he ever loved his mother, his brother even his wife and child and if that wasn’t all bad enough the demon slayers he trained even turned their backs on him.

Anyone thinking Tanjiro is as strong as Yoriichi, he's not even close.

How strong is the strongest demon slayer? Strong enough to make muzan shake by fear just by remembering him and that's the guy who sees himself as a natural disaster.

Yoriichi is that one guy in class that chills out for the entire semester and still manages to top the class far higher than anyone else.

Little disappointed that to this day the end of the series that not even a whole band of current generation Demon Slayers came even half as close as Yoriichi did. Not only was there multiple pillars with the mark, Muzan was infected with 4 drugs and still none of them brought him down. Only kept him at bay. No one could ever come close to Yoriichi, let alone surpass his talents.

I hope he lives a good life after he fought muzan until he reached 80 but he was a legend the strongest demon slayer ever

This is my theory how he maintain his prime power all these years, after leaving the demon slayer corps he continue slaying demons and keep using the sun breathing until he grew old. When he reach the age of something like in he's 60s or 70s he stops using it because the toll to his body would kill him in an instant , his heart almost stop at one time thats why. but before that he developed a technique that allows him to maximize the power of his breathing while lessen the side effects to his body so he can continue to perform it at full power all the time. When the time he fought kokoshibou he did an awesome job of showcasing his prime power for the last time before his body cannot handle the technique anymore.
