Though could be a tricky topic to cover without political bias or stirring up a flame wall, but it is fascinating news with some pretty intense history behind it. And on a related note, I'm also curious about the Navajo flag, how you relate to it, it's design and meaning. (this may seem out of topic but I am referring to the list of states which gained their independence) Sorry for correcting but, Although it is said that Malaysia gained independence from the British, it is wrong since Malaysia was not even conquered by British. If we take a look at the Declaration/Treaty (I forgot what it is called) for the independence, it is said that the Queen returns only three states which they conquered. Pulau Pinang (Penang), Melaka (Malacca) and Singapura (Singapore)(which soon left Malaysia). And the rest of the country was not conquered, but in the declaration/treaty on 1957, the nine Rulers (Sultans and all those other stuff) agreed to form a country named the Federation of Malay States/Malaya. Also, if it is true that the whole country was conquered, all the Rulers will not exist anymore, like Malacca which used to be a sovereign nation before a part of their country was taken by the Portuguese (after a lot of tries) and the King lost his sovereignty. So other than Malacca; Terengganu, Johor, Selangor and all those countries were not conquered. Only a part of Johor was (Singapore), and a part of Kedah (Penang). Again, sorry for correcting and also I might get some small facts wrong (like the name of the country after the federation, Federation of Malay States) because I tend to forget things like that.
