Despite having the most talented roster in ALL of the 2023 FIBA world cup, Team USA lost to a well structured Germany team, consisting some NBA talent including Franz Wagner, Dennis Schroder, Daniel Theis and Mo Wagner.
This tournament has shown that talent doesn't necessarily equate to winning. At the end of the day, basketball is a team game and the better team on the given day will always win.
In today's video, we look at how Germany vs USA basketball highlights and see how Dennis Schroder, Franz Wagner, Daniel Theis and Andi Obst were able to have the upset of the tournament.

but he didn't mean a "nobody" in an offensive or personal way, he meant internationally, the NBA league is the biggest league in the world so the players are internationally promoted consequently. Germany's basketball league is not as big as the americans' , if you payed attention and watched till the end, part praised Obst and other german players.

Nobodies? Banchero no 1 pick and huge talent, Haliburton is one of the best NBA players, maybe in 20 years in the hall of fame. Brunson one of the best scorers. And Edwards also a scoring machine, no 1 pick and soon a superstar. Bridges one of the best defenders. Jalen Jackson Jr. won the NBA defender of the year award last season. Ingram on a good day like Kevin Durant. This US Team was really strong. You are the one who disrespected the german team when you call team usa nobodies

4 NBA Players: Schröder, Theiss, Franz Wagner + Moritz Wagner. Nice analysis. What you can see also that the USA players often defense like there is a defensive 3 seconds rule in FIBA (which is not). The German team played together with the nearly the same roster as for the 2022 EuroBasket. The Germans used to FIBA rules and the team USA was not. It showed. In FIBA basketball individual class is not enough. You have to be a team in both denfense and offense.

Bonga (#0) has also already played in the NBA just wanted to say it. That makes Schröder, the Wagner bros, Theis and Bonga (who moved back to Munich) = 5 NBA players. Obst, Thiemann, Voigtmann, Giffey, Lo play Euroleague. So there you have the German core rotation for the moment... #42 Andi Obst has been known for years as a deadly 3p shooter in Europe...

Why do people think NBA player means anything? NBA is all about 1on1. Its about letting the star players look good. Its only for entertainment. European basketball is all about team play, strategy and defense. Thats why the US is not good. They always need to rely on star player to carry them. Without them it shows way more how bad the coaching is.

First, Tatum, Booker, Trae Young, Donovan Mitchell, De'Aaron Fox, & Jaylen Brown are amongst the top 20 best players in the NBA. Tatum & Booker are at least top 10. Secondly, these are all excuses. Team USA had by far the most talented team in the FIBA tournament. The NBA has simply regressed because these guys don't play team basketball, lack fundamentals, & continues to underestimate their competition. Dennis Schroeder isn't better than any player on Team USA, but he outperformed everyone throughout the tournament.

In a hypothetical top 10, you have in no particular order Doncic, Jokic, Giannis, Embiid, Curry, Durant, Tatum, Leonard as locked and then you have James, Davis, Shai and Booker for spots 9-12. So Tatum qualifies and possibly Booker.

Right now, I am making 2 out of 10 shots when open from 3 point area in my pick up games, and I am making 4 out of 10 shots when open in my practice. Is it realistic to improve that by 50 percent in about 6 months of doing form shooting, 1 hour a day? Also, I am talking about an European 3 point line.

Nah not by form shooting, you gotta play more Pickup and take in game like shots. I'm hitting 4.4/8 on average in my League Games and i consistently go for 8-9/10 in practice. Defense Schemes will throw you off, different players that you dont know that well or that dont know you very well will throw you off. You got to get comfortable shooting in different scenarios, out of different footwork and you can't just rely on your 3 pt shooting. The moment i got better driving my shots got more open and easier to hit No matter the defensive scheme

Sorry, the title of your video is a bit strange. 100th comment on this game and the result are in the media. Some objectively, others less so. Team USA decline is due to all of their games at the World Cup. Just honor and respect all the teams that sent the USA home without a medal. The USA will take part in the Olympic Games next year but please without threats and disrespectful behavior. Because that is and would be disrespectful.

Good analysis of unprepared defense. JJJ was already completely overrated on the defensive end and everybody could see that in the playoffs. His timings are off A LOT. Haliburton and Antman weren't great defensive players at this point either. Germany knew what they were doing and how to execute. It's still funny you call all these German players nobodies, when nobody around the world knows Edwards, Brunson, Reaves, JJJ either 😀. MURICAN GOGGLES.

Great analysis, with better Coaching and more Intension the US should have won easily. The team is so talented. Everybody is yelling the team was bad, maybe in the defensive end, but look at the Shooting stats. It was a highclass game and the better team won.
