it amazes me how many Americans don’t understand how our government is meant to function , that scotus is the final arbiter and exists to police the other two branches and “democracy” itself because more people agreeing on it or voting for it in congress or the public doesn’t make it legal constitutionally. a perfect example is the 2005 stolen valor act that was passed in congress with broad bipartisan support but then tossed out in Alvarez v. U.S. 2012 on 1st amendment grounds look up brandenburg v. ohio 1969 and hustler v. falwell 1988 , those are some good basic rulings to help learn about the law & your rights 🇺🇸
