On May 16, Terius “The-Dream” Nash linked up with Genius for the first installment of Genius Level, a new in-depth conversation and interview series with some of the biggest names in music. The inaugural event was hosted by Genius' own Rob Markman and sponsored by Levi’s, 1800 Tequila, and Tidal. In the wide-ranging interview that stretched over an hour, The-Dream reflected on his role in the creation of a huge number of hits throughout his 15+ years in the music industry.

FACTS.. he is one of my favorite song writers of ALL time! Thank you The-Dream (Terius Nash) for following your dream! I as a song writer only HOPE that I can one get work up the courage to do the same! I fell in love with him before I even knew with B2K everything, but I can somehow hear him and his heart through ir before I even visited this interview! “Gotta be crazy enough to believe in yourself” believe in yourself is what I learned from it… No matter what and ALWAYS! I love him as a human being!!!

..I hung w him briefly in the studio..his energy, charisma, the room stops when he walks in, same w/ his patnas Trick & Kuk, when they come around..they have an aura of confidence & creative power, that you feel, that you have to match, beat, or get lost until you figure it out for yourself, until you can bring something mutually beneficial to the table.. it is inspiring, being around alpha creative minds. how (crazy) confident you must be, to pitch your vision to the stars, then you become the star others look up to. I'll never forget that, & I'll never stop taking shots @ reaching that level & beyond.

I knew folks who thought that Umbrella was Rihanna's first single and Single Ladies Beyonce's first song! That's how huge these songs were, to reach audiences worldwide and even in the U.S. who didn't know of the artist's previous catalog of music. Damn. That is truly a dream all right. Legendary songwriting.

Plus it also sounds like Drake started acting brand new after he got more success between the time of Thank Me Later and Take Care SMH Wow I really wanted more collabs with those two.
