🤣You mean to tell me that my favorite Ritchie Sambora lead break is actually You playing it??? That is so Frigging hilarious to find that out all these years later! Me and my cousin both guitar players of 4 years at that time(1984) used to listen to that solo because it was really catchy and melodic. We really liked it a lot! 🤘

I came up in the 60s with the Stones and the Who and Hendrix and LZ. Bon Jovi was on the radio so I heard it, but I never took them seriously. By then there were rock bands that were just copying the big boys - when Tim said you have to have the hair, that represented it exactly. Well produced, all the bells and whistles in place. It worked for them - God bless 'em. Just not my cup of tea, or anyone else I knew.

Hey Roy! I have your course on speed playing! Is this comment on another video? There's no 28:02. BTW, thanks! Your course is helping my slow hands a little. At some time I hope to be able to play Luke's Rosanna solo without feeling like I'm falling upwards and inexplicably landing on the top rung... And that's not even that fast a solo. That's how slow I am after 40 years of playing and 35 of practicing that solo... On and off.

This is what they mean by playing what's right for the song. This has always been one of my favorite solos, perfectly composed, dramatic, builds and flows just right and most of all MEMORABLE....the 80s was full of thousand note shredding, dive bombs and tapping etc, but not a lot of it was memorable or else it sounds dated today. This still sounds fresh and powerful. It doesn't get much better than this for guitar solos.
