We lost everything in 1947. Eight of us lived for so many years in one room. Still I firmly believe that partition was good for India.

As a Bengali Hindu, partition hurts me a lot because my family, especially my mother's side has been directly affected by that. My mom's family lived in Chittagong in former East Bengal(now Bangladesh). Their house was burnt down by those bloody mullas and all of them had to hide and cross the border to come to this side. They lost everything. My mom's mom(great grandma) became insane due to the trauma that she faced and for a long time, hated Muslims to the core(she had very good reasons). Those mullas killed my great grandfather. However, I do agree with your point that partition in the long run has been immensely beneficial to us. Look at Bhikharistan now and you'll easily understand

Everyone is always focused on Pakistan. But what about Bangladesh?? A majority of today's Bangladesh population has anti-India and anti-Hindu sentiment. The keep on entering India illegally. No govt does anything significant. Bangladesh has never officially announced war against India. But sending millions of Bangladeshis illegally is a different kind of war. Some people in Bangladesh still think that creation of Bangladesh is incomplete. When West Bengal, Assam, Tripura will be included in Bangladesh, the creation will be completed. This mentality is not less dangerous for India than the mentality of Pakistanis regarding capturing Kashmir.

Indians need to be very clear about this that islamic radicalism existed way before India's independence, if not then massacres like Noakhali and Moplah (Malabar) wouldn't even had happened, so India's partition was kind of fortunate however only in the long run. India's partition is one of the brightest example of "Good intentions horrible execution".

Pakistan is like a tumour which got severed from our body and I'm really thankful for Jinnah for doing so, Veer Savarkar was visionary who saw this crisis to be looming.

Pakistan, Afghanistan, Bangladesh must be kept outside Akhanda Bharat. It will cause more trouble than benefit. Akhanda Bharat must be limited to India, Nepal, Bhutan, and Sri Lanka. Burma/ Mynmar could be considered in Akhanda Bharat.

I always supported Partition. Akhand Bharat is a concept of one land and one people. When people are not united, it means it is not Akhand.. Akhand means Undivided in english. Partition was a blessing in disguise. India would have an estimated 40Cr additional kachara population in Akhand Bharat if partition had't happend.

As a Sikh partition was difficult for Us and for the Sindhis, Bengalis and Punjabi Hindus as we helped build the cities of Lahore, Karachi, Dacca, Rawalpindi. Economically Hindus and Sikhs were the backbone of these cities and our cultural contribution over the years has been immense. Although, looking at the state of Pakistan today, i have started to appreciate the silver lining that came along with the partition. Only thing that occurs to my grandfather: Wish we could have kept Nankana Sahib, Kartarpur Sahib (which is barely 4 kms from border) and eastern districts of Sindh which were Hindu majority. Also, Gandhiji and Nehru urged all muslims to stay back, to show their secular credentials. In my view Muslims who believed in and had supported the concept of Pakistan should have been urged to migrate. Only those who were secular and believed in co-existence should have been requested to stay back. That way we would have had a more stable population.

Finally someone said it...which i used to think for years....i used to wonder why can't people see this that partition was a blessing 💯💯

I am Pakistani Muslim and a good student of History, I am 100% agree with you, division was more beneficial for Hindus rather than for Muslims, because according to research if any country exceeds 30% Muslim population it sooner (within 20-30 years) becomes a Muslim state, there are many such examples, most recent one is Nigeria. So by accepting division Nehro and Jinnah made different ideology of Hindus into a one strong nation and divided 35% Muslim population into 3 parts, (Pakistani, Bangladeshi, and Indian Muslim). And joint work of Congress leaders Nehru and Jinnah who was a newly converted Muslim from Hindu family, set the stage and fooled the Muslims. Well played Gandhi Nehru and Jinnah, well played Congress. In other case Muslims and Dalat (who were already major portion of Hindu population) would had sandwiched remaining Hindu population.

I always had a feeling that Partition was the best thing to have happenned to Bharat and its civilisation. My only regret was partition should have happened where atleast 90 % of Muslims eho voted for seperate Nation should have been asked to move to Pakistan. Other regret is we have compketely ignored and left our Hindu , Sikh brothers of Pakustan and Bangladesh in the hands of those vultures and barbarians. Our Bangladesh is highly benifited by partition. GDP of Bangladesh is now almost double of pakistan & gdp of Bangladesh is more than combined gdp of west bengal+seven sisters of india. In 1947,there were 9 crores Muslim and 33 crores non muslims in British India which was 44 lacs square km. 9 crores Muslim got 12 lax square km while 33 crores non Muslim got 32 lax square km Gandhi son was Abdullah and Nehru son in law was Farooz Khan, so both requested Muslim to stay in India. 3 crores Muslim stayed in India, who married 4 wives and produce 40 children in a household, so 3 crores had a mushroom growth to 30 crores. What hell will they create in future is unknown to Hindus

Yes, Sham, I am aware of this "benefit" of Partition. However, I would not go so far as to give Mr. J. Nehru the credit of "farsightedness" in protecting Sanatana civilization. If he had that vision, he would have completed full population exchange, which was repeatedly pleaded by Ambedkar & Patel. Nehru partitioned Bharat ONLY for his personal ambition of becoming PM.
