View part 1 here! • How the Internet Works...
How does the internet work? Most people really don't have to know, but web developers have to know more and more as they grow in their career. The information in these videos is a must-know if you're working on a complex javascript application or a server/backend application.
Also, check out part 2: How the internet works from a web developers perspective - pt 2 - backend: • How the Internet Works...
At a high level, the internet is browsers making requests to servers and getting responses back. Each request contains headers that tell the server how to respond. The server responds with a response and a content-type, which tells the browser what to do with the response.
If the content-type is text/html, then the browser knows to treat the response like an html file. If the content-type is image/jpeg, then the browser knows it's a jpeg file.
This video covers how the browser parses the html document, and ways that you can improve the loading of your webpage with things like concatenating and minifying assets like javascript, css, etc.

Do you know that feeling when you have to pause what you are doing in life for a little while to let the info that just mind blown you sink in, for being so clarifying and, as a matter of fact, quite simple..? Well, I had at least 5 of those moments per video of yours that I watch. I am just starting to dive in the front end development world and your thorough videos have been making me feel way more comfortable at it. A lot of doubts I didn't even know I had are constantly being answered. There's this insecurity that I have for not having yet applied my fairly enough knowledge on a real life project. This insecurity is vanishing video after video of yours, and I am gradually getting more confident to start already working on the project to come. Thank you, buddie!!

Great videos! So much to take in but because of the way you’ve explained it, I grasped about 80% of it. I’ve tried understanding this before and it just went over my head. And 80% is pretty good for a beginner. Thanks

Very broad and very basic, but easy to understand! They were both very helpful and informative. I have know about LAMP for a long time and had a vague understanding of what it does, but now i feel as though i have a better understanding. I have always wanted to set one up just for the fun of it. As for the front end buisness, you wouldn't mind if I used this, with even more basic language, as a presentation to my class? They are still having trouble with paths and file types. It is a little embarrassing.
