@@charlesparksmd Plenty of more interesting storylines and players than LeBron right now. But the media worships him and he plays on the Lakers. If ESPN and others quit talking about Bron, no one would care or be upset. It’s also laziness on the part of sports media. LeBron is low hanging fruit because he’s been around the league for 21 years and is an all timer great. But you have other players carving out their legacy but that requires fresh takes and different perspective, something modern media in general doesn’t have.

They failed for a lot of reasons. They don''t need Jamal and the Joker. They needed rebounding. They needed to hit more of their free throws in game 5. They needed Rui to play better. They needed DLo to play better in 3 out of the 5 games. They needed to have a coach that made better adjustments. I believe the real impact on the Nuggets winning was Michael Porter Jr and Aaron Gordon with their timely rebounds and buckets. Pope didn't do all that much and neither did most of their bench.

Kobe > LeBron Yet another clear example of what makes Kobe superior to Lebron as a player is what Kobe did vs Denver in the playoffs vs what Lebron did vs Denver in the playoffs. Kobe in 2008 and 2009 with a far inferior team beat Denver both times demoralizing them in every way possible, taking over late in the clutch in nearly every single crucial moment of every game in both playoff seasons. Lebron on the other hand failed and melted down in nearly every crucial moment of every game, in spite of major help from the refs, in spite of having a teammate capable of scoring 40 and grabbing 20 rebounds, in spite of his size and power advantage etc. He managed to win only 1 out of 9 games playing alongside one of the very best 2 way players in the league. This is incomprehensible for any player in any GOAT debate, unless that teammate is past his prime or did not play well, which was not the case in Anthony Davis case. Perspective : In 2008, The Denver Nuggets had prime Carmelo Anthony and Allen Iverson, defensive anchors Kenyon Martin and Marcus Camby, and 6th man supreme JR Smith as they played in the high altitude with their hostile crowds making it highly difficult to win for opposing teams. Unfortunately for Nuggets, in the very first round of the playoffs, they ran into the single most feared player of a whole generation, THE GAUNTLET of the Western conference, a force of nature with a maniacal will to win second to none, whom absolutely demoralized them in spite of all that firepower, defense, depth, and coaching savvy, sweeping the Nuggets relentlessly. That player, Kobe Bean Bryant. Kobe in that series : Ppg : 33.5 Apg : 6.3 Rpg : 5.3 Stl : 1.5 Blk : 1.5 FG% : 50% Kobe also went on to gentleman sweep Tim Duncan and the mighty Spurs in the WCF that postseason. The Following season Kobe beat them 4-2 prompting Nuggets head coach George Karl to say about Kobe “Jesus would have had trouble covering him” Kobe in that series : Ppg : 34.0 Apg : 5.8 Rpg : 5.8 Stl : 0.8 Blk : 0.5 FG% : 48%

I have to look at the defense for that last shot because I think everyone was staying home to prevent a Gordon or Michael Porter Jr from getting an easy dunk at the rim. With no time outs at that point in the game, the Lakers best hope was OT by getting a stop on Murray. Murray was on a mission, hard to stop in these situations.

@@Sthwest1 That's not a good move. Think about it. You're going to take out your 2nd best scorer of the night along with your starting PG at 26 seconds left in the game? You want Dinwiddie taking the clutch shots over Reaves who already has 9 points in the 4Q and hit the big 3 to get you to 102-101? Reaves has to be on the floor. I can see putting Prince on Murray instead of I think Caldwell Pope but not taking out one of your best clutch guys late in the game. The thing is, there's 3.6 left on the clock after the Murray shot. The Lakers had no time outs. That's the big issue. You have to get a time out, have your best inbounder throw in the pass to LeBron and late him get the best look or make the best play possible in that time. Ham did manage his timeouts right.

Bron/Lakers fan expect Ham to get Reaves/DLo to magically play defense and for Vanderbilt/Reddish to magically become shooters. IQ so low that they don’t realize every lineup Ham can throw out there with that personnel has a glaring weakness and he still managed to keep them relatively competitive against a better/more complete team

If the Lakers were smart, they wouldn't re-sign Lebron. They need to focus on their future.

Sure, fire Rob and Hire Bob. Add Rondo to the coaching staff. Rondo gonna hold everyone accountable and is not afraid to get into Lebron's face.

The answer is when a team as lebron they have a win now mentality which eventually catches up to them when they run into a young team

I'm a LeBron fan. We all knew Lakers beating Nuggets was a pipe dream. Denver had MPJ and Aaron Gordon. We didn't. Had this been a few years ago when LeBron could carry a team by himself, it would have been different. Darvin is the easiest to fire. That's the ugly part. Vanderbilt could have helped. Unfortunately hurt. I'M BEGGING THE LAKERS TO NOT DRAFT BRONNY just to please LeBron.

As a laker fan. We failed because they are a better team from top to bottom! No excuses and congrats to the nuggets.
