A bit dramatic saying there has been no harder time to operate a restaurant in history. Like, Covid was pretty challenging, and likely moreso than this.

Alkohol causes cancer and death, yet unions, propaganda news and leftist claiming that its there to fund a better health care system.. How desperate have they gotten

You say that assuming that resturants and bars have recovered from the covid lockdowns.
@dezthepleb

@@noisespektrum5416 I didn't mean to imply any recovery. I work in a restaurant that serves alcohol and I am just speaking from my limited view that lockdown was worse than the LCBO strike.

@@dezthepleb I think it would be a fair statement to say that the LCBO strike along with pandemic recovery and the current worsening economy makes it about as challenging as ever for any bar or restaurant.

The Province is looking to you, Doug. Beer and Seltzers are one thing, but for Whiskey and Rum drinkers, the LCBO has us at gunpoint.

Let them continue on strike, it's probably only impacting a small percentage of Canadians. Not sure about businesses.

My heart goes out to the restaurants especially after what they went through with the pandemic. I will boycott the LCBO from now on and buy my alcohol from other places. Shameful and out of touch.

This should have happened 40 years ago . The LCBO is as responsible for where things have gotten to today. Just as the government is as responsible for letting the LCBO and Brewers Retail for the position they let it get too. Micro Brewries Liquor and small wineries should had been allowed to be the first for their products to be sold in public stores like variety stores then 7 elevens short stops and circle stores. As for restaurants dinning establishment they are the collateral damage from all this. This is about breaking a union if it works for this then its the teachers waste management and other public sectors unions that their employees make to much money ...

I always thought that people went to a particular restaurant because of the great food. Too funny to watch from Alberta!! Apparently you need a Ralph Klein in Ontario!

The LCBO has to end and since we won't have to finance a luxury pension plan, outrageous salaries and benefits, the price of alcoholic beverages must come down.

Make Alcohol Cheaper, The LCBO Convinence stores are charging more , Yesterday I bought a bottle of JP WISER and it costs me 12 dollars more than the actual price , Same with Absolute Vodka which he sold me at 15 dollars more than the actual price. They had a lot in stock but were selling at their own Prices.

That's your decision to drink and drive. What a stupid thing to say. More availability doesn't give you or anyone the right to drink and drive. Has common sense really gone out the window?
