The Orlando Magic appear set this offseason after agreeing to sign Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and reportedly retaining many of their own free agents. What do you make of this offseason and how much better did the Magic get? Can they bet on continuity again? And what holes are there still to fill? Not sure how to reconcile, "this team will be better" with, "it may not necessarily reflect in their record". My opinion and the opinion of a lot of magic fans is that the team didn't do enough to improve. If it doesn't reflect in their record, it's irrelevant. We should be past the stage of moral victories. Where "growth" is the measurement of success, rather than wins/losses.

I agree fully with Jonathan of the "Sixth Man Show" is most wanted us to make moves just to make moves. We have a team of players that haven't scratched the surface of their ceiling. We're going forward. KCP was a great signing

@@adoffvuitton6234 getting kcp that will get us to another 1st rnd exit. they didnt help out shaq era or the dw12 era to win a chip, what make us think they will help out this era. the devos dont care about this team as long as they bring in the money

I think the magic is setting themselves up for big game hunting on the trade deadline or at least next offseason. All the new contract numbers are easier to trade, we have 2 frp in the next draft. It's just about which star/superstar that is likely to become unhappy and ask for a trade

I think the flip side of the argument is that Boston waited with their same core for a while and let them develop till they found just the right moves to get Holiday/Porzingis. You can also argue that having Kyrie was too early in the team's development.

6’10 franz, 6’10 paolo, 6’8 silva, 6’10 isaac. I think our size is fine at the forward positions unless isaac is injured like usual, so maybe we could add a piece there for depth

If there was ever a testament to wonder if Orlando is headed in the right direction trusting the process it's the Denver Nuggets who grabbed their star in the 2nd Rd of the draft in 2014 and built from there as a franchise without bringing in "stars" much like the Magic didn't get alot of hype.

All this talk about getting upgrades and a playmaker, we have them already. You take someone #6 and #11 overall in a very talented draft, you better find a way to develop them, especially AB. Thats our missing piece, last roster spot should be given to someone who can really mentor him.

We have a young team that has been together for a few seasons.. Chemistry is winning championships: Boston/Denver/even Golden St.. Not super team free agency. Example: Clippers, Lakers, Phoenix Tatum/Brown/7yrs..

Suggs, Anthony, Howard, KCP, Harris, Black - six SG and no "real" PG. I am pretty sure that at least one trade is still coming.

Anthony black is a pass first defensive guard . He’s a 6’6 pg for sure, he can’t shoot consistent yet so he def isn’t a shooting or combo guard. He’s just too raw rn to rely on at the pg spot.

Orlando doesn't need a traditional pass first PG. Banchero/Wagner will be tha primary on ball handlers. They value size and defensive.

Every fan and idiot GM wants to play fantasy basketball and throw together player names that seem to make sense on paper. Chemistry matters and it takes a while for a team to get that. Turning over rosters year after year fails way more often than it works.

its not turning over the roster he did nothing to help us put more wins on the board so i guess staying mediocre is what u like. kcp isnt that guy thats gonna take us to the next level. dont u want to get better or do u want the same mediocre team and results. us life long magic fans wants to win a chip u cant win a chip without up grades sorry a 10ppg kcp isnt a upgrade. our defense always been there so nothing has really improve

@@DANIELCAPS dude you know what puts wins on the board? Making ft's How many games last year did we lose by less than our missed ft's? Our 3 pt shooting sure, but ft's alone give us at least 12-15 wins last year.... Nobody would be saying shit about making moves if we won near 60 games... Nobody has said ANYTHING about this, and it's frustrating to me... Cole, Franz, and Gary Harris had bad shooting years.. I expect them to shoot better next year ... Jalen Paolo and Franz will also get better, along with AB becoming our pg... Add KCP and suddenly we are realistically looking at ECF

there will be no trade.... weltman doesnt make trades unless its trading 2nd rd pks on draft night or blowing up the team... in his entire tenture here he has not made any trade to improve this team. please stop defending weltman he is medicore just like this franchise. he does not have a championship pedigree and it clearly showed. if paolo or franz go down foe a couple games no one on this team is capable of filling in their shoes temporary.

I think his loss will be more significant than we think. But ultimately, they couldn't play him much in the Playoffs. Ultimately the right thing.

Love Joe and the role he played but the training wheels are off. It's Jett's time to shine. I wouldn't be surprised with KCP coming in they try again sliding Suggs back to PG. Defensively with KCP and Suggs in your backcourt both who can shoot. Could be alot of fun to watch

@@LockedOnMagicEven from the start of training camp last season Ingles he had a leadership that was infectious to a team that just needed to go have fun and growth came hand in hand. He'll be missed but now it's the opportunity for players like Jett to be "next man up" now
