If you’re new to photography and struggle with the fear of taking photos in public, try a Ricoh GR III or IIIx, or any small pocket camera. It's a great camera for building your confidence and taking more photos.

Speaking some big truths in the feeling of having eyes on you while you're photographing, is a real hindrance when you want to make images but get a sort of performance anxiety from it - and the sunglasses analogy is so spot on! Can't wait to wear 6 pairs and shoot with the GRIIIx when I can afford one. Great video!

I have the exact same experience. I wanted to get into photography so I bought a Cannon with a variety of different lenses. I was feeling really self conscious and not taking many photos at all as a result. Bout the Ricoh GR III x about a year and a half ago, and I just keep it on me at all times. Thousands of photos later I think I'm starting to get the hang of it.

I really like that port of san francisco reflective shot at 6:12. Nice photo! Also, when this popped up I felt like my worlds of online interest had collided. I wasn't expecting photography here, but I'm totally down. Keep up the good work!

I totally get what you're talking about here. I have a GRiiiX and don't use it nearly as much as I'd like to. It's just too small for me and I struggle to see the screen in daylight. I did pick up a Q2 at a great price and am finding that's much more my style. Still small enough to take anywhere, but has an EVF to help with composition in bright light.

@@shawn.hickman The Q2 is the best camera I've ever owned. The images are beautiful with rich colors and great contrast. I still use my other cameras, but if I'm heading out the door, the Q2 is what I tend to grab.
