Could you consider tying options into difficulty levels? For example, Preofessional / Master should have opportunities, instinct & UI help turned off. I love these games but in Hitman 2 I had to spend like 20 minutes in the options menu trying to get the experience how I wanted it - I'm a long time fan since Silent Assassin.

That’s very dumb to compare it to rockstar games’. Most of their games promise large open-worlds with LINEAR stories, they don’t promise multiple ways to attempt missions, they tell you from the start this is a linear story with sometimes select options. Hitman on the other hand is advertised as a game that allows you to do what you want, kill who you want in any way you want.

Bruh, that's whole different gaming genre you comparing this with Hitman is linear levels with different outcomes R* games are open world with some linear missions design, that goes with story, besides story missions y'all can do literally anything In it. World of Assassination trilogy as a whole should go down as one of the all time greats in gaming IMO. When you put it all together, it's an absolute beast of a singleplayer gaming experience. It doesn't seem to get the credit it deserves quite frankly. In my opinion these Hitman games are quite a bit better made than Rockstar's games or the Far Cry franchise (as examples of franchises with a similar scope and scale)- but they don't seem to get the same level of mainstream commercial success. It's a shame. But sometimes the finely crafted top-shelf stuff is a bit of an acquired taste. I'm just grateful that there's devs out there like the folks at IOI that work so damned hard and so well to elevate our favorite hobby. This trilogy is like the Romanee-Conti of video games - finely and passionately crafted for the most discerning connoisseurs of single player gaming. These days I stay away from preorders and like many gamers often wait for games to drop in price before buying them - but as I become more and more enamored with this trilogy I fully intend to preorder premium editions of whatever IOI is cooking up next. They deserve that faith and that loyalty I think, and if they can't get massive commercial success then they should get dedicated fans willing to throw money at them IMO.

I have to give them credit for one minor thing that no one ever seems to think about. The fact that they knew when NOT to add animations. A lot of games get bogged down with trying to be realistic, so they add animations for everything, and it just slows the game down. A good example in Hitman is the doors. 47 doesn't have to physically open and close the doors, you just press a button and it happens. Knowing when NOT to do something is just as important as anything else.

I've bought all their games and have enjoyed the intricacies and well designed levels. The latest ones are just amazing. Hope they have way more maps and missions. Maybe going back to allowing users to create maps and missions would be amazing. Old games use to include mission editors and allowed some AI customization. Maybe that would be amazing in Hitman. Users can be uber creative and you'd get amazing Hitman maps/missions/Targets/content etc.

An outstanding game. I thought Blood Money could never be topped but every level in Hitman 2 is basically a huge, just like in BM.

My mate wet himself watching me walk the catwalk as Kruger. Clearly inspired the replacement drummer in Bangkok. Genius.
