The Playstastion 3 took 5 years to Jailbreak. The Xbox 360 took 12 months, the Wii only 1 month. What did Sony do to protect the PS3 so well?

one thing i am very excited for is to be able to use the ps5 for linux as the ps5 will be capable not only switch emulation but much more ngl can't wait to test it out :) but for now I'm just going to have to wait for my steam deck email to come in this month which is also pretty pog but keep up the great vids rewire can't wait to see more.

I remember installing yellow dog Linux on the ps3 way back in the day. I was in school and used it to type up my school documents and put it on my flash drive.

Thier is one mistake here that is: in fact sony released a linux cd with a harddrive for the ps2 in Europe in order to avoid tax by selling ps2 as a personal computers

They took down ps3xploit, could have been Sony but other speculated it could be go daddy not willing to host them, could also be a a multitude of factors

@@rewire7899 A Slim, a 200x I believe? It's the one that accepts full cfw so, that's great, it's also nice that it has DVD and, Blu-Ray support, I am interested in starting to collect those soon. Also, I hope you make more videos with a higher frequency, I found your channel a while ago and, you make great content! I ended up binge watching all your videos, they are just so entertaining and, well edited, thanks for making those. :)

This is a little inaccurate... Sony removed linux because some guy named geohot found an exploit in linux that allowed the console to get access to the PS3's security system, sony got scared and removed linux for everyone whilst patching up the security flaw and that made everyone angry 😆. They then went ham on trying to crack the ps3 and they did in the end.
