@@mikebearthegamer1365 @Kangaroo Monkey they can't, all of the Spider-Man cartoons that are on Disney+ were only licensed out to Sony at one point. Sony completely owns Spider-Man the New Animated Series (aka Spider-Man 2003 or MTV Spider-Man) and Spectacular Spider-Man.

That's what ticks me off the most. It stung when I was 19, it still stings now that I'm 30. They could have at the very least made a nice little direct to video movie to properly wrap the series up, but they just didn't care.

if it does come back, i want them to do his original plan. 5 seasons with 2 movies inbetween 2 & 3, and 4&5 with college/adult movies after. thats what we would've gotten if it wasn't for this deal.

The problem with recent Spidey cartoons is they feel weaker than what came before. The writing in particular is comparatively inferior. The drama, romance (virtually dead under Jeff Loeb's tenure), plot twists, character development, action & dialogue all feel considerably watered down. Ultimate & it's replacement are impotent, boring kiddie crap older fans want nothing to do with. The 90s show, 2003 CG series & Spectacular were projects helmed by people who obviously wanted to deliver something of high quality. They cared. The creative people behind these modern Marvel shows either aren't allowed to try (Leob's iron grip) or just don't give a shit. And, either way, that's very disheartening. Hopefully, one day, there'll be good, animated Spidey content outside of Into The Spiderverse.

This was my childhood, and after re-watching it in the future, I have to say it was one of the best Spiderman TV shows I’ve ever seen, I only wish we could’ve got a true ending because my childhood ended when It left me, leaving me with a hole in my heart where nothing else Could fill it. It can never come-back ? Never say never ! Sony has still the exclusive rights to produce live-action television series & animated television series with episodes longer than 44 min. Which does mean than Greg Weiseman (producer and writer on the series) can use his idea of movies between seasons as longer episodes in order to continue. I hope a future deal between Sony and Disney will allow Spectacular Spider-Man to return on Disney+, since then both companies could make money from the show. A similar thing happened with the Spider-Man video game rights (which is why Spider-Man PS4 and its sequel are Playstation exclusives).

Ok first of all, The Spectacular Spider-Man would make Disney more money, as it still has a huge fan base. If Disney and Sony would come to an agreement to allow the continuation of one more season for the show to see how popular it would turn out to be, then all Spider-Man fans would be much happier. Also, if a season three were to come out and prove successful in bringing in more money than any other animated Spider-Man series, then Disney should allow the continuation of more Spectacular Spider-Man seasons.Though the chances of the show coming back are very slim, it is not impossible, which still gives Spider-Man fans hope. I know you are just going off the facts, but anything can happen nowadays. You never know what will be possible in the future

The closest thing we have is the fan continuation that a couple of guys are working on. Fingers crossed for that to release next year

One of the only ways out of this, is for both parties to do a collaboration between them. But that has about 0.5% change of happening, since it will take a lot of time and money for something like this to be made. And at the end of the day, both of the company will be lucky to break even on this. If by some random luck that they do start up this show again. We will probably get a remake of it instead of them just continuing the original show. That being said there still hope that one day this show will return just not how we remember it by.

My heart still hurts today wanting to see what happens to Spider-Man and the Black Cat. They could work on this design, either as Peter and Felicia or Spider and Black Cat. I really wanted to see them together, if only temporarily (': (because apparently the other girls always have more preference)
