How The Zeagle Ripcord System Works
If you dive a Zeagle BCD, and it has the Ripcord Weight System, then you may have been told that it can be difficult to re-thread the ripcord after you released your weights. Well in this video, Instructor Bryan Stafford shows you just how simple it is to re-thread the cord back into the BCD.

My rip cord had come partially out right before a dive and I had no idea how to deal with it. Shoved the weight bag in the foldout pocket as a temporary solution, and now you’ve demonstrated the proper solution. Thanks! Great instructional video!

THANK YOU! I've just started diving with Zeagle, and I've learned that many dive shops/tour groups-- do not understand or know how the Zeagle rip cord works. They've accidentally messed up my ripcord and thought they'd tie it. Now I'm happy that after watching your video I can fix it myself. Thank you!!

Was a Ranger devotee, now a die hard Stiletto owner. I have over 200 dives on the Stilleto and people on the boat still ask if I got a new BCD. Ripcord system works great, hard to rethread on a small boat. These tips certainly help. Thanks

I got that make for my wife because she hates the strum strap. Nice the company is down here in Fl. I don’t know if y’all know but they used to make parashoots years ago. She’s had her for 5 yrs and it’s great one. They have great products. As for me I’m a Hollis guy.

Still the best weight release system out there. No proprietary pockets to purchase if you loose one and never accidental releases.

You sure there were never any accidental releases? This dude just said "Accidentally gets pulled" ! I will die if it get accidentally pulled and I'm at 100 ft.

Considering how many weights you find with a metal detector at 100-150 ft, I don't think everyone's dying when they lose their weights. There'd be thousands...@@navderm

Can you install a crotch strap on the Zeagle Ranger LTD BC without problems?
@LakeHickoryScuba
@LakeHickoryScuba 3 ай бұрын
Hello @BurhanMuntasser, that is a great question. As long as you have an attachment point in the rear of the BCD, and a loop system in the front, then yes.

So how does this system fit in the buddy check? Nice vid BTW
@LakeHickoryScuba
@LakeHickoryScuba 5 жыл бұрын
Thank You. As far as the buddy check, it would be the same regardless of the system a diver chooses to use. You would simply explain to your buddy how your system works before the dive. The same applies to a recreational diver who teams up with a sidemount or technical diver. You would simply go over your gear and your buddy's gear, so that both of you understand how to manipulate it during an emergency.

There are certain weight pouch systems that will work on a Back Plate and Wing and that has a ripcord system. DUI makes a similar system as well.

Such a gay process I purchased this BCD and I must say that I do regret my comment. My dive shop and me both didn’t like the idea of the ripcord system because you have to rethread the ripcord every time you have to drop weights, but the reality is that you should never have to drop weights anyway so the ripcord system literally works fine and is not a problem. in the event that you do have to drop weight then at least you have a free hand to control buoyancy. Even in pool training you can unzip your pockets pull your weights out and put them back in just like integrated weights so you can pass your pool training skills as your instructor instructs. Just check on your ripcord before every dive as part of your BWRAF or equipment check (even though the ripcord is not going anywhere or failing, it’s actually a pretty solid set up)
