Visine is good for the eyes, not so good for the tummy. In this aul video we are gonna look at a number of stories of people who almost got away with slipping some in drinks, but thankfully didn't. From Lena Clayton to Jesse Kurczewski, all wanted something and thought regular eye drops were the ticket.

I know a girl who’s friends played a “prank” on her at a sleepover and thought putting Visine in her drink would give her diarrhea but she ended up having serious seizures and now has epilepsy and can not work, drive, or live on her own. She’s now in her late 20s. It ruined her life. Those kids didn’t know the harm they were doing but it is so dangerous. Poor girl will never be independent because of a “prank” her friends pulled in middle school.

We were always told that when you pissed off a bartender, that’s what they’ll do is slip some visine in your drink and make you schyit yourself. It’s still terrible they did that but i can see how they thought it’d be harmless. We’ve all heard the stories of ex-lax in the brownies and we all laugh about it. Looking back, it shouldn’t never be funny to deceive anyone and put stuff in their food that they don’t know about

so, are people who have serious reactions to visine... allowed to use them as actual eye drops? Unfortunately, I think is a good rule for anyone in a public space. I used to bartend and we had to hide our waters/coffees far away from the guests because one of our female employees might have been drugged. It was a busy night so she left her water near her well and by the end of the night, it was pretty clear something was wrong. We never did get to the bottom of it and had to get strict with the no drinks rule, which sucked because of how busy we'd all get.

An interesting sidelight about Visine. Back in the 60's we would have Visine Parties. A Visine Party consisted of a few people who would take Acid or Some other psychedelic and squirt Visine at each other. Why? You might ask. Because under a Black light, it shows up fluorescent Yellow and when you squirt it across the room it's a pretty Flashy sight.. The best thing about it was that the room looked a total mess under the Black light but the Visine was invisible, in any other light.

@@aaronjustice9020 Unless specifically designated as such, almost all eye drops contain an opthalmic lubricant like tetrahydrozoline. I'd bet dollars to donuts that the eye drops in question weren't just sodium chloride and distilled water. And yeah, even a few drops will make your body shed its gastrointestinal lining, which is an extremely unpleasant experience. Tetrahydrozoline also attacks the nervous system, causing the damaged nerves to fire off rapidly, which is an intensely painful process.

I am from South Africa, and here eye drops are often used to incapacitate a woman in a club, and then taken advantage off. I had my tequila shot spiked with eye drops and it was hell as soon as I had done the shooter. Luckily my best friend, and a male friend were there to help me. It was so bad that I could not even walk. In some clubs they search your purse for eye drops, and if found it gets confiscated

Fun fact. Repeated and over use of eye drops to “get the red out” is a really bad idea. Red eyes are generally the result of swollen blood vessels and the eye drops contain an ingredient that shrinks the blood vessels so the redness is reduced. When the shrinking process wears off the blood vessels become larger leading to a viscous cycle of repeated eye drop use with no actual benefit. Oh and love ya Mike!

No one should use Visine, it's awful for your eyes. The active ingredients in Visine cause retinal blood vessels to physically shrink. After prolonged use those blood vessels can permanently enlarge, causing your red eye to look even worse. This is called rebound hyperemia, or rebound effect. Your eyes can become addicted to these drops. It is a vicious cycle of using your drops, worsening your red eye symptoms all the time.

They knew that no testing is done on ANY bodies for tetrahydrozyline. They KNEW that. It was only an observant detective who spotted visible in the room, who realized the whole thing looked fishy a to why she'd let him lay around pissing the bed he was so sick, that led to them finding the tetrahydrozyline in nthe 2nd guy's murder, if the wife had never admitted putting those in his water, she'd probably be free today. We tend to think they'll catch anyone if they poison someone but no, they miss a lot of those cases because coroner's don't test for all the different things that someone can poison you with, they only run tests for what they suspect might be there. The tests are very expensive so they don't routinely test for everything, or many things at all. It's pretty scary when you realize that. So many nursing home deaths, deaths of the critically ill, the elderly and handicapped people, even the deaths of many children who may have appeared to have died from some other causes, like drowning or some type of accident, likely were due to poisons or suffocation but bless the work is done correctly, unless someone takes the time & expense to test enough things then no one will ever know.

With a little knowledge one could make a great many very dangerous things with common household chemicals. And chemicals intended for medical use are always dangerous if misused. Also I have found wise to never underestimate what a human is willing to do if they believe they can ‘Get Away’ with it.

Thing is...he makes me laugh...shocks me (with his true crime videos) ..and never fails to be entertaining. I’m a tad worried now tho. There’s so many bat shit crazy people in this world...that I think there’s gonna be an uptick of Visine sales....🤷🏼‍♀️🥰

I witnessed a coworker put visine in another girls drink at a job I had. the girls drink she put it in also had chrons disease (digestive issues) so she was gonna get really sick. just one of the stories I have a LOT.

Visine is still toxic today? I would have thought that they would have reformulated it by now, no?
@imhere653
@imhere653 2 жыл бұрын
@@2tall4u_ No. The effective ingredient in it (tetrahydrozoline) is the only known remedy for red eyes. It is pointless to use eye drops without it if you're looking to get the red out. I knew a bartender that would lace certain customers drinks with it to get them to leave or because she didn't like them for any reason. She was unconcerned about the risks. Just interested in flexing her power/control muscles. This was way back in the early eighties. It was Visine's well-kept secret for a long time. It's become popular and widespread lately.

I’ve had Visine in my house nearly my whole life… I have NEVER considered putting it into coffee or any other drink. How could anyone be expected to believe someone was routinely adding it to a beverage? But I guess if you’re psycho enough to consider killing someone with it, you don’t have all your marbles anyway.

Staci was a friend of mine, we went to school together. Pretty sure he had been trying to "get rid of her" for a while. She had to have a pacemaker in her late 20s with no prior heart problems or sickness. Also recently he had called the police claiming ge was kidnapped by staci's parents or someone they hired. They found out it was eye drops that killed her because she was an organ donor and before they had her funeral and her body cremated the hospital took samples of her blood. So after her mother begged the police to do something because she found out about the life insurance, they remembered about the blood samples. So thats how they got a toxicology report. Sorry for the long post! I love your channel!!

Born and raised South Carolinian here…. It’s pronounced “Tet-Tra-Hi-Drah-Zo-Leen” I know because this was widely reported and they said the agent name all the time. Until this case it wasn’t in a routine toxicology screening. It is now. Visine is a vasoconstrictor and in large quantities, a whole bottle, it disrupts heart rhythm.
