at this point it's supposed to be implied that jim likes pam and is fully aware of it. and pam sees jim as a really good riend but may or may not be harboring feelings for him that she hasn't realized yet. it helps that the actors have such great chemistry

The card on the forehead was from a real life diversity workshop. Tom Huang, who worked as a writers' assistant on the show, suggested the idea of the employees putting cards with ethnicities on their heads. This was based on a real-life experience of his.

There were times I avoided watching the next episode until someone else could watch with me because I was too nervous about the next line they would cross. It's funny with others, alone it's more cringe than I can bear. Genius.

Mostly those who like feeling offended, or pretend to for whatever reason. Attention, drama? Maybe political gain? MOSTLY political gain, I'd say.

When NBC reran The Office for a marathon.... they left out Diversity Day. I guess it's just "too much" here in The Current Year. To me that's sad if people can't laugh at themselves, even when it's through someone obviously being a buffoon and it's shown to not be accepted. Opinions?

I think that NBC was trying to avoid a controversy that really wouldn't have occurred. I think that a lot of companies are overcorrecting for the current climate and it's kind of annoying. I think they thought that it was too offensive to show but the actual public would have been able to understand it in the context of the show and the time. I just think it was NBC not giving their audience enough credit as opposed to an actual issue with the consumer or audience not being able to laugh at themselves or at obvious satire

I thought they always did an excellent job at showing how absurd and foolish people with small minds look to others. There was a moral to the story in every episode, the best of high humor. Perhaps current events made "Diversity Day" seem insensitive.

not sure what the confusion is. he has a crush she may or may not have one back but is engaged. what happens from here we will find out. pretty standard stuff. there must be thousand and millions of people in the world who have had a crush on someone who is in a relationship so i'm surprised this is such a new phenomenon for you. it's a tv show so as such they have plots. this is one of them. if it was plotless it would not be as good.

I’ve only ever seen clips of this show on TikTok and it was always Jim and Pam together. So seeing her engaged to someone else confused me because I didn’t know about dude plus she flirts back while being engaged to the other dude
