Welcome to the newest episode of the Big Bull Podcast, episode 63! Today, we're excited to have CA Rahul Bhatia from Thane, Mumbai, with us. Rahul has been running his own CA firm for the past 4 years and he also trades stocks full-time.
During the tough times of the Covid-19 pandemic, Rahul started trading. It all started when a friend shared a trading course with him, which helped turn ₹25,000 into ₹40,000.
Interested by his success, Rahul decided to learn more about the stock market by taking a detailed course. But even though he spent ₹7 lakhs on one of these courses, he didn't find it very useful.
After three years of doing options selling, Rahul tried buying options. While he made some profits, he realized that he wasn't naturally good at it. He also noticed that buying options was hurting his selling ventures.
Rahul follows a schedule for trading, starting precisely at 9:17 am. He believes that within just 1-2 minutes, he can predict where the market will end up by the end of the day. This timing has been very important for his strategy.
Rahul focuses a lot on balancing risk and reward. He carefully calculates potential risks and rewards before making any trading decisions. His strategy mainly involves trading At The Money (ATM) contracts, which has worked well for him over time.
Unlike some traders who rely on past data, Rahul trusts his own observations more. This approach lets him quickly adapt to changes in the market and improve his strategies based on real experiences.
In short, Rahul's journey in trading shows how important it is to be disciplined, keep learning, and be willing to adapt. Through his experiences, he shares valuable insights into the stock market and the importance of having a trading strategy that matches your strengths and preferences.

Aseem bhai whenever someone come, please ask these questions 1. How many losses you usually make in a month 2. What is your risk reward usually? 3. Do you have monthly or weekly target? 4. Are you a predominantly directional player or non directional player or switches in between? 5. How you trade gap up, gap down and sideways opening (one at a time) The standard of your interviews will significantly go up.

1) 4-5 Losses but stop looking daily losses just analyze mistake keep the learning for next trad . 2) Acc. to me I work with 2 account first is for positional & swing and another is for stoploss hunting ( I work in monthly expiry and I wait till zero) (2 - in SL hunting 1:1 or if you can trail 1:2 ) 3) no but I have yearly plan. 4) Direction baise & SL hunting 5)In sideway SL hunting work well all are my experience of almost 2 years & 1.50 lakh loss but I am still learning .

I think he is managing his loss perfectly which is giving him edge. Else other tactics like not missing a single day of trading, getting exposed to market for whole day and not closing the day even with 3 SL hits... may not work for most.

There are many contradictory statements. Initial capital at april 2023 is 12 lacs. As of now it is 20 lacs including equity which is created through profit of last 10 months. It means he earned 8 lacs in 10 months which is almost 80k per month or 4k per day on an average. On the other side, he said, he earns almost 1% of 12 lacs per day which is 12k per day. Definitely, he would be profit making trader as digital blogger would have already verified it.
