I have never seen a smiling photo or video of Vargas before she played for the Turkish national team. Türkiye has become her home and she is really happy and smiling.

Evet evimizin küçük çocuğu gibi Vargas. Voleybolu bıraksa hatta sıradan biri olsa yine severiz. 😊İlginç değil mi ? Bazen insan doğduğu yere ait değildir yaşaması gereken yer başkadır doğduğu değil başka yere aittir. İnsan çiçek gibidir her yerde kök salıp çiçek açmaz. 😊

When she featured in the volleyball channel after the brazil match, the Turks get angry and ask other players to be featured. Because she's originally Cuban. I guess Turks don't feel like they're being praised. That's why they tell the channel to featured other Turkish players. that clearly show that they doesn't fully accept her. I'm sure if she wins she'll be Turkish and if she loses she'll be Cuban like Ozil

@@novrinkov0053 Whether we show anger or not has nothing to do with Vargas. Türkiye is not a team that depends on the success of a single player, like Serbia or Italy. That's why we react to the fact that it is portrayed as if we are winning games only because of Vargas. For example, look at the statistics of the Brazil match, each player contributes equally to the victory. Vargas: 19 p (2 blocks) Eda: 16 p(4 blocks) Karakurt: 11 p Baladin: 10 p(3 blocks) Günes: 7 p(2 blocks) Özbay: 4 p(3 blocks)

Maybe she wasn't born in Turkiye, maybe she doesn't speak Turkish well, but we love her very much. Not just because she is a great volleyball player. We love her for her incredible sincerity, strong character, ability to always resist difficulties and not giving up easily. She is now one of us. They played in the semi-finals, quarter-finals or finals in every tournament they participated in, but they could not win a trophy. Success came with new players such as coach Santarelli, Vargas and Gizem Örge who joined the team.

Naim Süleymanoğlu was already a Turk..Like more than 20% of Bulgaria population back in those days, in 80s..Turkish community in Bulgaria was heavily suppressed by Jivkov government then, and hundreds of thousands of Turks were enforced to change their names and/or religions..Naim Süleymanoğlu was just one of the exiles of a half millon immigrated to Türkiye at the end of 80s..

its so sad. I'm not proud of the every aspect of my nation but I really love Ataturk's definition of Turkish nationalism. ANYONE no matter where they're from, who feel themselves Turkish is Turkish. melisa vargas is a very strong volleyball player, but she is not the only hope for the whole country. If you say that vargas is the only reason for Turkey's success, we would be unfair to our other volleyball players. don't forget that Turkey had a lot of success in volleyball before vargas. melisa vargas çok güçlü bir voleybolcu ama tüm ülkenin tek umudu o değil. Türkiye'nin başarısının tek sebebi vargas derseniz diğer voleybolcularımıza haksızlık etmiş oluruz. unutmayın ki Türkiye vargas'tan önce de voleybolda çok başarılı oldu.

Very easy, try looking at Turkey's wins and losses before and after Vargas arrived, and you will see the difference. Prior to this, they lost even to the Thai team before Vargas came. Turkey is a strong team, but not outstanding enough to be ranked first in the world. Having Vargas on the Turkish team doesn't hurt anything, but giving Vargas less credit than she deserves is not true. It is not true to say that if it weren't for Vargas, Turkey wouldn't have definitely reached the top of the world.

Bazi yorumlar o kadar saçma ki..sanırım birazda kıskançlık var.sanki dunyada ilk defa bir sporcu başka bir ülke icin forma giyiyor.biz türkler ona kucak açtık,onu destekledik ve çok sevdik.sadece muhtesem bir sporcu olduğu için değil,mütevazi kişiliği,güler yüzlülüğü, takımdaki uyumu ile gönülleri fethetti.bu saatten sonra başarılı olsada olmasa da onunla hep gurur duyacağız.voleybol bir takım oyunudur.zehra,ebrar,eda,gizem,hande ne kadar kıymetliyse,vargas ta bizler için o kadar kıymetli..bu yüzden rüya takımı diyoruz zaten..❤❤❤

Not only VARGAS but watch out another great player ALEXIA CARUTASU is coming. She also had Turkish citizenship (originally Romanian) and she plays like Boskovic, very strong and left-handed. She will play for the Turkish national team after March 2024

this is disgusting, Turkey is buying players from other countries just like the national team was a club. Thankfully FIVB made a new rule: only one naturalized player having previously played for another national team can be part of a national team for a given event. So bye bye Carutasu. Start training Turkish players instead of stealing players from other countries.

She is a gift from God her talent, personality, energy, body, cutie face i mean she is just amazing. I still can not believe I am able to see her every week in the games alive.
