Yea, in my mind while watching the video if it was $200 or less I would consider getting one. A nice design and everything, but it looks like with some rough camping it could get bent/damaged easily. Once that lid gets bent and doesn't seal well there goes your long cold storage times. Personally I use my 2 coolers to stand on while tying tarp lines to trees to get the lines above head level.... this cooler is wonderfully light looking but I doubt it can take that abuse, even if it was $200.

The clever little easy to remove parts are likely to get lost. How about the strap and rigid handle can coexist on the cooler at the same time? The lid? Was there sufficient vibration testing so if the cooler is strapped on a truck shaking for five hundred miles all the pieces arrive intact, the lid doesn't blow off when passing the sucking wind vortex from in front of or behind semi-trucks? And you can buy a lot of ice for the price difference between $50 regular cooler and a $500 exotic cooler...

Seems to me, that the ice packs should slide into the under belly of the cooler, locking in.. to / attached to the lid. Cold air sinks... hot air rises... if the ice packs are above the drinks / products the products are cooled fast and the inner avowable space is actually increased... due to the normally wasted space at the very top of the inside of any cooler... Also since a cooler stays cooler longer if filled, less air more cool... the ice packs above the drinks, would equal more cooling longer time periods.

most metal coolers are famous for eating ice, because of the temperature conductivity of metal. I certainly can appreciate the vacuum insulation that is the key to this product, but to me an ice pack in place of water ice in a container is no big deal. besides, where I camp, a bear proof cooler is a more desirable feature. However , my little car trunk is so shallow, the only thing low enough to fit is old tech blow molded plastic, better than nothing, picnic level stuff. I hope the product does well, just having an option that avoids more plastic scores a point with me.
