I'm no hack. I gave up my seat so a passenger could make his daughter's wedding. The airline booked me on the next flight, on business, not coach. The airline also gave me free meal tickets for the airport wait. When arriving late in Seattle, my compact car was rented, so they bumped me up to a mid size car at no extra charge. Getting to the Holiday Inn, my room was gone so they gave me a better one with a great view, no extra charge. All because I was willing to wait 2 hours for the next flight to Seattle. Proving it's not just the destination that matters, but getting there.
