My personal thought for why Indigo Academy was thought of instead of Naranja was obvious Kanto nostalgia, but also to kind of be like "Oh, we're starting from the OG Region to the latest" when they go to Paldea. Also, Roy's Island was in Kanto, so if it just started at Naranja, there wouldn't be a real reason to pick him up 😅

I feel it's also the journey to Naranja Academy. It gives us time to establish the overarching plot of the Volt Tackers and Explorers and give the anime it's own basis, before folding in the game elements. Liko got to grow BEFORE she's know taking on the gyms.

Episode 49 makes me really hopeful for a funny future episode where someone other than Dot has to wear the Nidothing costume to not reveal her secret identity. The obvious choice for this would be Liko (who would totally faint), though I'm unsure if it would properly fit her as she's quite taller than Dot. But the costume itself does look like it has room to spare. Not to mention the fact that inside space is rarely a problem in fiction, as shown by backpacks.

Ya gotta get through 45 episodes of Airship Adventures before getting to the return of Gym battles (Horizons Part 3). That may sound annoying but it's so worth. Horizons parts 1 and 2 are Basically Journeys the sequel but the production team is really passionate about trying to create something great, and it shows through the overall Animation, writing, characters, and action.

I understand the point of the Gym battles is to pass the Terastal test and not necessarily win, but it doesn't feel as satisfying when they lose the battle but still pass. I know it makes sense that Liko and Dot lost because of type disadvantage, but when has type match-ups ever REALLY mattered in the anime?

I was just about to say that. It doesn’t seem as tense if they pass regardless if they win or lose. I mean the goal is for them to be in sync and terastas. They already seem pretty in sync so really, all they have to do is terastas. Hopefully they change the rules for the next gym battles that requires them to beat the gym leader.

This Naranja Academy Arc of the series has had some of the best episodes so far. The previous arc was quite bad with how many skippable episodes there were.

The new Eng Dub episodes came out on THE BBC after 3 months of nothing and we’re still only at ep32. Is this what being old feels like? Where are the days when was watching Diamond and Pearl, blissfully unaware it came out the year I was born and all the episodes were not just there because magic…

I would like to see them use Pokemon besides the starters. Like Liko's Hatenna, Roy's Wattrel, and Dot's Tinkatink. I wonder when they'll catch more pokemon or even if they get a full team of 6.😂

i think 50s pretty hard to top 48 only really comes close currently but theres still another 20ish episodes to go in this arc and if any episodes gonna rival 50 its gonna be the inevitable episode where fuecoco evolves vs ryme cus we all know thats gonna happen right? right? also oh my god i love iono so much

@@eljordinio7647 I suppose; I guess when it comes to the Tera course, the gym leaders will operate differently with different Teras. That just means Katy, Brassius, & Larry are the only ones to use a pokemon of a different type (and as well as their usual game signature partner Ace) for their Tera Ace
