Pulled out three sheets, cut them as you showed, added them to Kraft, black and white card bases, added sentiments. Made a box, and had a gift I gave a friend at lunch today. Perfect.

I recently started to make cards (the last couple of years), and I sent a batch to work with my husband. I sent 30, and they all got new homes, as well as a request for a few more birthday cards! There's something so satisfying to me about being able to give people something unexpected!

I have been crafting for years and always stayed away from papers like this because as you said at the beginning, I look at them and think how do I cut a beautiful page like that. Would be fun to make a frame for the paper and give it to someone. then cut the paper up for cards and send one every month or whatever to that person and they can put them in the frame. Then they not only have the joy of receiving the card but the fun of puzzling them together and displaying them.

Love it! I'm a novice crafter and cardmaker. Collected most of the tools, papers, etc. Watched hundreds of tutorials.... Got completely overwhelmed. Then happened onto this video, and Wow! Made my first set of cards that I feel totally comfortable giving to someone else. Thank you so, so much.

I teach cardmaking classes and my students always ask me how to use the giant 12x12 patterns leftover from their paper packs. I never have an answer because I struggle with them myself. One class gave me a huge gift basket of crafting supplies as a Thank You gift, and it has 3 packs of scrapbook paper that I couldn't use. Now I can use it to show them your technique and maybe you'll get some new subscribers out of it! Thank you, Maymay!

I agree it took awhile for me to want to chop up these big papers but when I seen them in albums just cut up and used on a page that has a few pockets that you just continue using that same picture. It looks great when you see it like that 😀. I love listening to this lady. I love her Southern accent.

I tried it on a paper I've had for more than15 years. I forgot to decide which way up I would want it but I had already cut it one time! I thought well let me just cut it. I turned te pieces over I almost cried so nice it turned out! I will try more like this! Thanks!

Cutting at those points works when the original artist or photographer used composition rules, rule of threes. Honestly, even if you are not sure as you are gluing them down, after they are spread out, those are gorgeous!
