I set my boot to start on my USB dvd drive and it always boots to the same screen and not the external dvd drive. am I booting up wrong ?

I have a really old CF-W2 running on win XP. I was trying to test the chrome OS stick on it, but just can't enter BIOS. The panasonic screen said F2 for setup and F12 for LAN, tried both, tried pressing once and multiple time, tried to kept F2 pressed down, nothing worked. It just always goes into win XP. Wonder if you know there's anything else I should've tried.

I got a cheap CF19X mk5 with custom bios boot logo, is there any way change it back to panasonic?

I would like to see if anyone has load default values from the bios and thus when it restarts it will not display anything? I cannot seem to get the panasonic logo or even into bios. I tried HDMI, tried to remove battery, so if anyone has a solution or know about this issue please let me know. This is for a Cf-20.

Not much you can do. There is no work around for a BIOS password on a toughbook.

If you figure out how to reset lost password on toughbook cf18 , let me know... so far it appears umcrackable

I have a cf-t8, I don't see the panasonic splash when I turn the machine on, how do I make that visible?

Does your CF-T8 boot to windows?

It probably would if there was a harddrive in it.. it reaches the device not found/network bootscreen. I have another cf-t8 that the panasonic splash appears and I get into bios and self test

Sometimes when there is a memory problem toughbooks with not show the splash screen. Check your memory sticks to make sure they are installed properly and that they are not defective.

as I understand the toughbook had 2 gb soldered on the mainboard.. I will check if there is any loose additional ram too..
