Do not attempt you can potentially brick the radio getting into the bios. I followed it to a T and it disabled my screen for good blank screen. Worked for 1 day next day completely gone.

We tried this and it seemed to work on the drive home, but the next day when we stared the car the screen was black. We don’t know how to fix it.

Dang I changed the settings and it worked the next day the screen went blank and never came back again. Any advice I tried looking elsewhere looks like a have a deeper issue now lol. I appreciate the help in advance thanks!

I have been looking for this for a long time - I can get to the test screen but when I get to holding the delete button for 5 to 10 second - the jci test mode active does not come up - Any ideas why or another way to get the touch screen working while driving -

I’m pretty sure it was disabled in recent firmware updates. I flashed my 2017 Yaris ia to allow Apple CarPlay in an and while I gained that functionality I lost the ability to use the touchscreen while driving

I was about to ask the same. Mine has had a crack on one side for awhile. I didn’t hit it or anything, it just showed up. When I touch my screen I don’t feel it. It’s like behind the screen or something. Lol My friend has the same car and hers has the same crack as mine. (Top left of the screen) Now, I just noticed 2 more on the bottom right and left of the screen now. I haven’t drove my car since it’s been snowing for a week. I wonder if the weather has something to do with the cracking.

I have the same issue! I’ve had that little crack expand over time for about 2 years now. And just recently, it’s starting to skip screens/songs on its own. ☹️ I’m trying to find a solution lol glad I’m not alone though!

@@haydeeG23 still haven’t figured out the cracking but my radio also did the skipping and such it had the “ghost touch” I ended up taking apart my consul (can find videos on how to do it on here) and I disconnected my controls and reconnected them! It’s been about 2 months now with no skipping or random selections! Hope it helps you!

They don’t want you to be distracted but I feel like the spin wheel is more distracting.
