I did everything as you said, even used your root method using VRoot. I still get the pop-up from Verizon about not being authorized to use the hotspot. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hey I have an issue, so I rooted my phone and downloaded this app. Then I granted it root access. Next I went to the app and put it on Native Framwork Tether and it still says "What the hell" and the hotspot just turns off. What should I do?

I used the latest version of PDANet 5.19 and works with Samsung S8+ using wifi hot spot. For mac users, you have to go into your network settings and use a proxy. Instructions are included with PDAnet. Using wifi right now.

this is only for androids... if you go to google store and put in PdaNet+. this does not require rooting. this app is not compatable with boost or att but that should be all

I have a Nexus 7, but not a phone. Is there anyway to just use the tethering app for the tablet where a wi fi is available? Or do I just need to use the ATT Uverse wi fi hot spot? Sorry these are dumb questions, but obviously I am not computer savvy.

I have internet plan in my mobile. But My network provider blocked the Hotspot facilities and if I want to use Hotspot, then I have to pay extra money per day basis. Can you help me to use Hotspot without paying extra money?

Or you can do what I learned from Android research from the honeycomb Android era ,around 4.1 came out . You simply put a proxy on you're WiFi settings if you want to use a phone with no data plan for the hotspot.

Is there a way to make this app work on marshmallow! I have a rooted htc 10... Everytime I start this app it says.... Started with errors... Like.. It seems android cannot tether free anymore..

Found supersu for my Samsung G3 and the install says riskie to install. Is their a spoofed look alike supersu that could cause some problems? Allow Root Checker Advanced to access your contacts? Is that the right thing to do? or are we looking for something else. Root Checker Advanced is a great tool to check you Root Setup. This does not sound like what we want.

I have a Android Maxx phone from VZW and am trying to activate the hotspot but am unable to. The version is 4.1.2 with a 16gb Rom.. Nothings been done to the device. I had downloaded SQ LITE but its not allowing the apps to get accessed... Can you help me out?

I have a Verizon S4 MI1. The wifi tether app was removed from the play store, so I downloaded the 3.3 BETA 2 version from online, but received an error message when trying to connect: "tethering started with errors" and then it doesn't connect. I'm unfamiliar with tethering so I'm not sure how to troubleshoot here. Any ideas?

I have been tethering from my android device for 3 years and have not gotten any notice from Verizon. That is not to say that they do not know that I am tethering using a root app. One thing to keep in mind though if you don't have and unlimited data plan you will pay for any data overages that go beyond your plan.

still getting the verizon error about needing subscription. I rooted phone with saferoot. didn't touch the recovery system i.e. its stock. installed this exact wifi tether app. phone is verizon ss galaxy s4 mini. I got my phone turn into a hotspot without downloading anything. I just went to *Settings* -> *Tethering & portable hotspot* -> and slide the *Wi-fi hotspot's* slider to the right. So.. the question is, is my load balance deducted when I made my phone into a hotspot? Or it is just free? What really happens?? (I just turned it off because that's what I thought so)
