I naturally did this in my play. Whenever I found myself with few spoiling bulbs, I'd just make a latern out of it. Eventually I had a little corner of many lanterns that I just put on the ground to save chest storage space. I try to divide them into 2 sides, one is full, and the other are empty ones. Whenever I find my lanterns are low, I just drop it on empty side and pick up a full lantern.

Also you can bundle 160 lightbulbs and store it to the chest with the lanterns, when all the lanterns will have 0% of charge just refuel them! No need in gathering lightbulbs in 5 years!

Because lightbulbs are so incredibly plentiful, I actually sometimes intentionally let them spoil over a few days in order to easily intentionally make rot. Because I base in caves a lot, this always ensures that I'll be able to have my replanted grass and berry bushes ready to go within a week of setting up, plus I'll have the extra to make Booster Shots if I need to revive early on before I get Life-giving Amulets and Effigies.

I do already make a few extra lanterns and miner hats for this exact purpose. Having a dedicated box for them is not a bad idea though, I've just been leaving them on the ground. Which now that I think about it doesn't make much sense, the idea is that I can turn them on if it becomes night if I don't have fuel for my campfire. But I pretty much always have fuel and if I don't, I'm probably carrying a light source on me.

Or if you have the extra mats from tumbleweeding you can change 2 lightbulbs into a fresh lantern, a full stack of bulbs can make you twenty lanterns providing you with roughly 120 days of light.

I have a bad habit of only having exactly what I need at any given time, like I'll get a thermal stone or some winter gear and just never craft a backup so sometimes I end up screwing myself by dying far away from my base. If I had nine lanterns at home that would be a pretty good way to ensure I always had a light source

If you have Winter's Feast enabled, all you need for a worse bundling wrap (aka Gift Wrap) is 1 Papyrus and one Petal for 4 Gift Wrap, same problem as Bundling Wrap but you have to pick flowers and get Papyrus every time you want more

Walter can convert poop into slurtle slime. slurtle slime doesn't rot and has other uses. Regardless if bulbs are about to rot feed them to a werepigs, get the poop, use that in fire pits, to fuel flingos.... I am absolutely in team lantern/miner hat. In an endless world I typically make 10 miner hats right away with the 10 fireflies i catch when i make the net.

I play on switch , so having to load the caves is slow and sometimes glitchy, so the lantern box trick will help me😊

You could also enable winters feast event and craft the gift wraps costing 1 petal and 1 papyrus without having to kill a boss.

I use the caves as shortcuts a lot... So to me usually works just fine just carry 2 lanterns and never keep lightbulbs... It's the same amount of slots, so no need to reorganize inventory

I'd rather spend like 20 silk and catch a huge amount of fireflies, they don't rot so there's no headache.

Sounds interesting to make 9 Miner Hats instead (to use Walking Cane), 9 gold and 9 butterfly are easy to get, 9x12 = 108 cut grass, it's not that hard to get this, go to Savanna or start picking Tumbleweed. The extra speed will compensate that bigger investiment as long as time passes.

Have you ever heard of someone making a lucky nugget farm? Id like to find a way to get them in high quantities for little to no effort. Any ideas?

i prefer miner hats bc they dont dim and it frees up your hand slot for walking cane

I will definitely be incorporating this on my runs Also side note, i did that beef rush thing that you mentioned on your other. They seriously need a bit of buffs, like how the brush is practically unobtainable. Lack of armor for bosses who hit twice as hard against Beefalos and not to mention you need to unbuckle and put yourself in danger to feed them
