How to Add a Customer Browser Icon (Favicon) in Squarespace 7.1

Learn how to add a favicon to your Squarespace website easily. This is another term for 'browser icon' - the small image that appears on the top left corner of the browser tab when someone is on your website.
By default, this icon will be set to Squarespace's 'cube' icon, which doesn't look very professional. So whether you're a Squarespace website designer or you're DIYing your own Squarespace site, you'll want to customise this to an icon, logo or something that represents your business!

Thank you for making this! Such a simple tweak but it does look more professional. I'd been putting off doing this for some time, since content creation is a lot more what I like instead of this more 'techy' side of a website. However, this video was such an easy and engaging way to finally do it! :)

unfortunately, as of May 28, 2024, the "design" and "browser icon" options simply do not exist. Maybe you can advise where I can find this option. thank you

I just found it.. Go to search and type favicon. It'll come up!! :)

Go to website, click settings and there’s an option called favicon

@@ImmortalExplorer I took the liberty of going to your Channel and saw your website domain listed there I can see the Favicon is showing on Google when I looked it up. Sometimes it takes Google a couple of weeks or so to refresh that once you upload your Favicon to your site but it will be made visible at some point.

@mayrarice820 yeah it's been there a while now. Are you familiar with SEOspace? It was pretty much immediately after I ran their SEO checker and followed all the SEO related steps (that I'd missed) that ita appeared.
