How to add a Life Line to a Knit Hat. Perfect safety line for your knitting. Works for stockinette stitch, cables, lace or colorwork.
This video shows you how to add it to your knitting in the round, but the same technique could be used to add a life line to your flat knitting as well. (contains affiliate links)

You can alter the pattern should you wish.

Can you do this in the middle of the work...below where the needles are. I mean.. add the lifeline ..

Sandy Grogg yes, you can add a lifeline below the needles. You would thread the needle and yarn through a row of stitches going through the right leg of each stitch.
