Sometimes you need to add a few stitches to the side of a crochet piece - and pulling out and starting over isn't an option. You can add more stitches using this easy technique!

This is a lifesaver!! I am a beginner at crochet and just started making my first cardigan. I got the correct gauge, but tried to make my outfit smaller and somehow found out it was too small after completing my back piece 🤦🏻‍♀️ Really didn’t want to take it apart. Thank you thank you thank you!!

You don’t know how hard it was for me to find a video that explained how to just add in yarn to the project!! I’m a brand new crocheter and I needed to work on a different part of my first project and I found videos of “ending” the project but I didnt know how to start my crocheting in another spot after cutting the yarn. Thank you!!!

Thank you, Tamara! I wish I'd known this years ago to have avoided pulling out a 300 ch starting chain which was 3 or 4 stiches short. Would have saved me an awful lot of frustration and the air around me would not have been so blue with this technique!

Hello Tamara! I was SO excited when I found your video, I literally teared up as I watched it. There are no words that can express how you've rocked my 75 year old world! You have no idea how many projects I have given up on, that this tutorial would have changed the outcome. Along with the project I usually put crochet away, too. I've yet to move beyond the *experienced beginner* stage. Kind of stuck here after 70 years of practice😢. I have a question/request, and feel guilty even asking, you've already been so generous. A few years back, I suffered a brain injury that makes it very difficlt to understand complex issues. The first time I saw your video it looked SO simple. Unfortunately, when I went back with my swatch, after the first row I got lost. Do you possibly have a written copy of this available? I've tried so many times. I even tried the transcript and tried to write it myself, but still can't seem to get it right. You have no idea how high on the pedistal I have you right now.❤ Thank you So very, very much 😊.

Sooooo, does that make me a few stitches short of a row?!? 🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂. I ALWAYS have to remember to make things wider, because being 5’2”, there’s no WAY I should be using my width! And I didn’t think this up myself. My niece pointed it out to me; Aunt Marsha, could you please make our next blanket in Uncle Al’s size? We love your work, but it’s not NORMAL people size! I would lay it out flat and see if it's all on one side or if both sides come in. If one side is straight, then you can just add to the other side! :) If both... well, both!
