Cutting a slot and checking with the phone was absolutely genius, especially since phones have the .5 wide angle lenses on them now, you can see everything

Just curious- you spent all that time and good craftsmanship into this piece why would you not build it out of solid wood? Looks like you used MDF or particleboard for a good portion of it

Say, you don't have a video on how to put that blocking in do you? I've been searching youtube high and low looking for a guide on how to frame out blocking inside of an existing wall and nobody really talks details. Also, the attention to detail with the safety backing on the mirror really shows your quality.

Measure from stud to stud and cut a 2x4 that is that width… Then start 4 screws, 2 on either side in the blocking at an angle. Put the blocking in and screw it to the studs

I'm not family handyman but I'd imagine you would just use the dimensions of the mirror for your cabinet, attach the drawer slide to the mirror.
