Pine Player works on a Mac. Just drop the flac files into a playlist and go to Function-edit meta data for each track. From there you can drag cover art into the square and save it.

Thanks for sharing this tutorial, i used to do it with 2 software searching for meta data... but for adding a picture this is much easier.

What if I have like 800 WAV files all in the same folder? Would I just put all the art in that folder and then pic out the right pic to add it to the specific album?

You should be fine. Have the art in the same folder, and you can attach it specifically to files you select. Art doesn't have to be attached to a particular album.

With .MP3 it works fine, however with .WAV we are having no luck. All metadata saves other than the album artwork. We don't want to convert our releases to .MP3 as it impacts sound quality. Has anybody had success with adding artwork to .WAV files?

Sorry to hear, I actually know why despite WAV being a lossless codec, it's tagging schema doesn't support the use of album art, since it's an older format. MP3TAG isn't the culprit of this issue. You may need to a special audio player or better yet many people suggest using a different lossless format specifically FLAC (FLAC is lossless and sound quality isn't impacted despite the smaller file size compared to WAV.) which fully supports album art. www.reddit.com/r/Beatmatch/comments/a4soxt/how_to_tag_and_add_cover_art_on_wav_files/. I found many forum posts relating to this.

On Windows Media Player you can right click the player then click on visualizations and change it to album art, and if you want album art displayed make sure that you have it add to cue tools. If Windows Media Player doesn't work well I would also try to use VLC.
