How to add LED eyes to your cosplay helmet and armor

A quick and easy way to add LED eye panels to your cosplay helmets.
*Correction: at 5:20 I made a mistake and instructed viewers to put the velcro on the opposite side that I was intending. It should have gone on the reverse side of the textured acrylic so that the textured side would be worn towards the face. Note that the lenses can be installed either way without issue, but as per personal preference I prefer it as described initially.*

While in eBay just do a search for: “Batman LED eyes” and several listings will appear in different colors and setups.

For those of you who are wondering about color just take a sharpie that's the color you want and that is a very light color,you can color over the light once you remove the film.

Looks awesome! I was a bit confused though because you said the textured side of the led towards your eyes but then you ended up putting the velcro on that same side so the smooth side ended up facing your eyes

you can make a screenslaver mask with led lights called diy led light kit and also the welding goggles and some mouth with silver and black paint

If you want to build it yourself you can purchase the led module from adafruit. But you have to solder and provide your own wires and battery pack. Or you can buy assembled kits off eBay. Just search led eyes for masks or something.

If you heat it up it will conform to a curve. And the led is just glued in. It can be wiggled out and replaced with one of similar size if required.
