They will sell you pre-painted fenders, but the leadtime for those parts from Subaru is like 8 to 10 months. And you have to trade in your fenders for them or pay the extra difference.

This has to be the best looking/sounding VB out there. Love all the mods you guys are doing. Any chance you guys might do an install video for the OEM footwell illumination kit? Nobody on KZfaq has done it yet and it would look awesome on the car

Got a base last week. I don't want to risk the warranty so I'm sticking to little things. Shift stop, brass bushing, drop in filter, maybe some wrap here and there. Love the car so far. The Arctic white looks so good, I never thought I'd get a white car. Makes the cladding fit the color scheme.

I thought the contrast in the silver was really nice. I ended up going with the gray metallic because it blended in the fenders better, but it was less basic than black.

@@c013s14w the wheels are fine for me, I can divert the funds elsewhere. Mine came with weather mats and some other dealer options - sun shade, STI knob, vortex generator, trunk mat, rear seat protector. I wouldn't have bought them but all are useful. Tint would be cool. Definitely looking hard at the muffler delete.

Im running 20psi on E30 with the JB4. Once tuners get ahold of these it will get much more impressive than the OTS map. Though personally I will be sticking with the JB4 for awhile as we have seen it is not detectable by the dealer once removed.

Jb4 was always solid for me, used it on alfas, infinitis, audis, tons of bmws. Cobb is cool too, used on a few FBO stis and GTRs. Couldnt use either on my evo but love to see it make it full circle to the wrx. You guys are doing great with the car!

I’d love to do this on my 22 but I bought the extended warranty (7 year/100k miles, it was 4K and got it for 1.5k) so sadly I’ll probably pass on this cause if I were to and something ended up going wrong, say bye bye to that warranty folks, you’re on your own! Youch

I went from a 21 FBO Flex VA to a 22. Even stock the 22 feels like the better car. Since doing the JB4 even more so.

Time to let go of 'Zilla (16 black edition) and will be downgrading. Currently in the market for either a 22 Rex GT or a 21 supra GR. I think you just helped me make that decision. T.Y. my fellow oriental meight.

About to lease a 2022 WRX... if I use this Cobb Accessport will that screw with my lease? Would I have to uninstall it, before the end of my lease?

Don't. They will not take the car back. Unless you plan on buying it at the end of the lease.

@@yongkim7931 Cobb tunes only work with cobb parts so probably wouldn't recommend it. ETS claims intake doesn't require tune though. I'd say monitor your AFR levels and play it from there.

@@yongkim7931 I been running the tune with ets intake for a week now and my car it’s running like a champ. Been doing races with my friends and everything is good for now. AFR are stable too. ETS intake doesn’t requires a tune, it just for more turbo sound, so it acts as like it the stock air box.

Probably not, any power mods will blow the cvt. Now maybe they could work on a manual swap for it.. but that will be a $15k job easy

@@richeyrich2203 I was actually wanting to see how the 2022 wrx would compare to the outback cause it’s the same motor but of course different everything else I don’t like the cvt at all in the outback. I got it mainly for the east coast weather. But I do know they have said before that the cvt has an over hearing problem. Especially with the 8 speed in my outback. I’ve notice and complained about it before that I’d rather own a manual the way it acts but dealers don’t care to help

@@XRLegacy15 I nearly bought a 23 Outback limited xt, but turned it down the day I was to pick it up. I decided my money was better spent on a turbo with a Manual. The cvt is still plenty quick, but lacks soul and in the us, has dependability issues. The engine is tuned differently in the wrx and requires premium fuel. One thing to note, the xt models have an oil cooler for the cvt. (I do believe. That’s how they get better towing numbers and handle the torque) i atleast know for sure the wilderness has it. So it’s should last ok heat wise, as long as you change the fluid every 30k or more in the cvt. The crosstrek has a manual fyi.

Yall think a premium 22 WRX for $33977 OTD after taxes and fees with 2.9% APR is a good deal? Looking for a decent fun daily that I can take on ski trips to pair with my S. I paid 35K for my premium 22 WRX with 4.7% APR with an 800 credit score, so that's already a better deal than mine. It comes with summer tires btw, so if you're going to the snow don't risk those tires! Get cables or get different tires. I learned my lesson in Utah

Instead of spending extra $$ on the premium which would be nice, we decided that since we are going to modifythe car anyways, the money towards buying the premium can go towards more mods!

@@CuongTran-yg4wc I went limited with some comfort accessories because I won’t be modding it out until after 60k miles. So the added comfort and safety of the premium was work the extra $80 a month in payments for me.

All depends on how it’s tuned and if the parts are quality. When running more power you must change out weak parts. And really, a pro tune is the way to go for reliability. The truth is. The engineering that goes into the vehicle as it ships is it’s most reliable form, aside from weak parts that were cost saving and can be user upgraded (like the oil pickup in the 4th gen ej)

You said the car should be in accessory mode for mapping but my 2022 is a push button. Is there an option for the push button start? And thanks for all the great content!!!

I get the whole aspect of driving your car and not babying it. But what about your breaking.? Really, in terms of longevity, shouldn’t you take it easy for that first thousand miles?

From our knowledge and previous experience we don't really believe in the break in period because usually when the cars are off the lot from the factory they tend to test everything.

Im running 20psi with the JB4. Once the tuners get their hands on the software they can get it to 20.

@@grantkahale8933 I got it on the Dyno at SubieFest but had not finished dialing in the map yet. Was dipping pretty rich and falling on its face a bit. On that run on E30 it was at 260whp. Having trouble finding a local AWD Dyno to toss it on and get new numbers since finishing the map. I tossed my latest logs on the Virtual Dyno and that said 271, but take that with a grain of salt. Car is stock other than the JB4 and Catback currently. After the holidays I plan to do some more.

You want a little more power you can get a JB4. Has been shown to be undetectable when removed.

I hate to see when rods and pistons go bad from just ad-hoc mods not knowing how to properly tune. Car came from factory and engineered for specific engine specs. What are you going to do when your engine blows up??? I cringe when someone says, “ you get immediate power . . .”😢😢😢😢😢

At first when saw the new WRX I was like meh the design is not that good. Now I'm sad we don't have them in Europe its like the designers encouraged cutting up the car and modding the hell out of it.

Uninformative video, brah. Don't just go crank up the boost without supporting mods. 1st, let the first wave ap driver to figure out the limit of the engine. 2nd, the clutch + tranny are only rated for the current torque and power output. What I gathered is that the tranny is retrofitted from the last gen, last gen's transmission is made out of Swiss cheese. 3rd, high boost can introduce blow by, you don't want your engine to burn oil. 4th, the second you flashed your ecu, you would void your warranty. Do not be that wrx driver.

A bunch of hypocrites on here, just cause you paint the plastic that makes the car good looking ? So it has nothing to do with its sharp lines, angles, wide body, etc. ? But before everyone is just bitching, misery loves company right ? I wish I could just paint my old Toyota so it becomes an eye turner lol Same reaction with the modern mustang and now everyone loves it lol embrace change, adapt and appreciate excellent engineering.
