Nice job .my daughter's just had all new chrome radiators fitted wow they look amazing...😢 You can fry an egg on them but no heat radiates from them ..can't get the house above 19 degrees wish plumber had mentioned something about chrome rads...

Does anyone know what type of insulation that is under the chipboard? It looks like foil wrapped fiberglass but can't find it anywhere. I'm renovating and think it would be great to put something like that in! Thanks

How would you take the radiator off the wall for painting behind the radiator, as i have the same valves and you cannot move the pipes left or right without damaging the wall.

If i were to add anything to this video it would be this, Upon turning on the system after re-filling i always put boiler temp down low to minimise overheating which can happen with air going round the system, and once flowing well i would put boiler temp on full load to test that the expansion vessel (if it has one) or that the water level in the F&E tank doesnt reach its limit, as you would be altering the expansion rates, it may also need a larger expansion vessel or to re set the water level in the tank... The IR camera is handy to make sure all radiators are circulating at the same or similar speed. Be mindfull not to restrict the cylinder lockshield loop valve too much as in the summer your boiler would end up cycling on and off way too much. Hot water is designed to take priority and if the boiler water is set higher than the hot water control stat then it will do its job and switch off..

Is it normal to have all that installation under the floor.... My house is 15 years old and has NONE!!! plasterboard ceiling, pipes and wires, chipboard floor

Not forgetting the new trv’s that you preset for balancing need putting on the feed. Take a photo as well as a diagram. Great video with some good advice.

Alot of new designer radiators are flow sensitive and will have a plug 1/3rd the way along from the flow entry point... this helps divert the water upwards.. if the rad isnt marked up as inlet/outlet then the best way to check is to physically look down the connection points or poke something in there. If that makes sense.

I've got a question please. How do you get inhibitor into a pressurised system?

Depressurise it. Drain some water out then go to the highest radiator and fill it by removing bleed valve and a funnel. Or if you have a magna clean filter, turn both valves off, empty the water out of the filter and fill it with inhibitor.

Unimpressed with the piping that goes up to the Rad at 24:20. In my opinion it's far too close to the skirting and has a horrible looking bend in it. Would be better for looks and future skirting painting if it was away away from the skirting.
