Here's how to change out screw-in nose pads on a metal frame, in this case a vintage Cartier frame.

Haha, thank you, thank you, thank you! I've been doing without 1 pad for so long because I thought I'd have to take my glasses to an optometrist to get it fixed. Ordering some pads from Amazon as we speak! 😁👍

I got an Eye Glasses Repair Kit and replaced both pads in about 20 minutes. 👍😁

How can you put the clear thing back on the glasses because i accidently took mine off and i cannot put it back

If you’re referring to the nose pad, then you simply screw it back in, as described in the video, or snap it in if it’s the snap kind. If you’re talking about a string like in a semi rimless frame, that’s a more complicated process to be done by an optician. They’ll change out the string and put a new one on. Best of luck!

You can with some plastic frames. Optical shops can install “nosepad arms” with silicone pads on plastic frames

My Ray Bans don't seem to want work like that, I can't seem to get the screw to bite

There might be a small piece of broken screw in there, or the screw hole might be blocked some other way. Clear the path, and use a new screw, ideally. Good luck!
