Hey everyone! This video was made early this year and is now OUT OF DATE. Instead of using this method, I highly recommend checking out www.insta-space.org - this will automatically add the correct spacing to your captions and its super easy to use! ✨

Thanks for letting us know this is out of date. I guess line breaks arent meant to be for me. This app is not working either. There is no convert button. It's all good tho.

This works guys. If it doesn’t work at first edit your caption. Make sure you get rid of all of the spaces. Before and after a line. It may take a few extra steps doing this a couple times but it does work

This is a lifesaver! A little tricky to figure out at first because you obviously can't see where the spaces are inserted, but once I got the hang of backspacing, entering, backspacing again, it worked like a charm! Thanks!

Idk if someone has said this or if you know but On the IPhone if you hit the 123 on the keyboard the return button pops up again. You can then hit it twice to add spaces. Idk if this is the same for Android. I thought I’d help cuz the works for me 😊

Joanna Bless Yap the same thing happened to me. You have to paste it in the phrase section, then you create your own shortcut to type while typing and it will be replaced by that.

I put a . At the end of the spaces for the short cut! Every time I used my short cut on IG and the spaces come up I just delete the . And it works!

Thank you so much for this hack!! For all those wondering this STILL works in 2020!!! Highly recommend. It’s gets a bit getting used to but within minutes you learn how to use it in the ig app and it’s super effective!!!

michxmakeup it works for me up until I want to create another line for the just the hashtags. It won’t create a space above the hashtags. Any advice?

ugh. what am i doing wrong? My instagram posts. look like this. With jig jagged text split on different lines. I cut and pasted the text, made sure that there was no spaces before or after and it still looks weird.

Check that you have your keyboard in English and that it says “return” instead of “intro”. That was my problem. I had posts looking like that, not anymore.

Hey, I figured it out. Settings ---> General ---> Keyboard ---> Text Replacement ---> + symbol (at top) ---> Phrase (what you want to happen) {Copy & Paste THIS: [ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀] ---> Then type in the short cut that you want to use (fast & easy symbols such as 4 periods or dots)= .... ---> SAVE. As soon as you do this, go try it out. It should work. {I'm using an Iphone 6s}. Good Luck!

It's simple, just go to settings>System>Language and input>Advanced>Personal Dictionary>hit the "+" and follow the steps.

I can't seem to copy and paste from your website? I found what I needed and your tip of putting a text shortcut is great. Android help: open your keyboard -> click settings icon -> smart typing -> text shortcuts

I tried the text replacement and it didn't work. :( when I type the four dots, all I get is four dots, no shortcut change or option for the shortcut change. I'm on Android
