Adding the 2 in. foam looks easy enough, I will try it on my office chair for comfort, thank you for the tutorial. I am not a fan of new cars because they all look alike.

A confident worker starts on the driver's seat first, then the passenger seat. A newbie starts on the passengers side for practice and learning mistakes before doing the important seat.

That IS an easy seat! Like you said...some seats are a pain in the place that the seat is designed to hold.... I wonder how long it will be before auto manufacturers will realize how much they can save in labor costs not only in repairs...(under warranty)...but also in the actual process of putting them together to begin with.

Instead of adding one inch to the pull material. Could you double the hog rings? In other words link the the hog rings together like a chain.I want to add some foam to my seats but I don't know how to sew.

@upholstery tips Does the passenger seat have a weight sensor for controlling the air bag? My 2015 Subaru does and when we put a cushion on the seat the air bag was turned off by the car because the weight sensor could not properly detect a 160 lb adult and defaulted to turning off the airbag which it does when the weight sensor thinks a child (i.e. a person 65 lbs or less) is sitting in the passenger seat in order to protect a child from being smothered by an airbag. If there is an accident the airbag for the passenger will not deploy in this case. Did this extra foam affect the astin martin air bag weight sensor too?
