if you remove the headlights without removing the grille, the adjuster in the video will spin thus throwing off your beam height. If you remove the grille and hold the adjuster with one hand, while you on screw it, the height will remain the same!

Bro. No. This is so wrong. There are holes on the top of the assembly you adjust with a screwdriver.

@@honor4thoseb471 yeah, my video gives you the rough adjustment for up and down. The screw holes are for fine adjustments but yes that is a good video. Thanks for that man!

So freaking wrong. Holes above the headlight with hood up on the fender just under the hood, there are two arrows pointing to holes with a adjustment in them. Never seen that set up on you video, looks like that was all added by someone that knows nothing

Few tell you CCW ROTATION OF THE ADJUSTER RAISES THE BEAM PATTERN.

Appreciate the video, thanks. There are many videos out there about raising & lowering headlights on the Dodge Rams. Do you know how to do lateral adjustments? My lights (2014 2500) appear to be shooting slight right, and I want to bring them back to center, but cannot figure it out. Thanks for any input you might have!

On the sport headlights with the projector housings, I had to do headlight adjustment through the top only. There was no adjustment nut at the bottom for mine like yours has and I double checked with the grill off. Mine is a 4th gen, 2500. Maybe they added that nut option on the newer 4th gens? Wow. This is so wrong. That adjustment you showed should only be used for adjusting the headlight housings in relation to the body lines to fix gap issues.

I have a 97 dodge ram 1500 I put new headlights in it the one on the passenger side is going over to the middle and I have adjusted it but it doesn’t seam to be moving I brought it all the way out and it still doesn’t move

I can’t get my headlights to seat back into the little clips behind the headlight. I struggled for an hour on it

Does anyone know what type of clip is pressed into the radiator support? You can see it in 00:32 - like an idiot, I pressed to hard on the screw and bent the metal clip (at the very very bottom) then I pulled it out and tried to bend it back and snapped it…. Fml. Need another clip

NOPE NOPE NOPETITY NOPE NOPE. that's NOT how it's done. use the hole (on top of the fender) that has the large arrow pointing at it folks... use a long extension and a 7mm socket and just get the socket onto the bolt head down there and turn it.

It's long past post date, but this only works on headlights with that application. These look like alpharex aftermarket and don't have those screw adjustments

Lolololo this is wrong!!!!!! Theres 2 holes right above the middle of the head light..can be seen only when hood is open..they have a arrow pointing to each hole. Those are your adjustment screws one moves light up and down one right to left hahahaha takes a 7mm with extension...fkg hilarious.You were actually goofing with the bottom headlight bolt threaded lock washer that bolts the headlight in lol.Careful theres only 3 bolts that hold that light in one at top of light one at bottom " the one u showed" and one that is accessed under fender well by front tire.

Fine adjustments can be made with holes youre referring too. That is correct

@@jaydengerber15 No offence but your wrong again...i been a auto mechanic for 43 yrs...all your doing with that headlight mounting bolt is booney tuning it.Same Principal as adding more washers instead of getting a shorter bolt right?

@@jaydengerber15 ummm I've only been in the automotive industry 10 years and I can tell you that's not how to properly adjust a headlight. That is an adjustment screw for flush/lateral adjustment. The screw on the back of the headlight goes directly to the projector/reflector housing gears and adjust the beam pattern up or down.
