Welcome everyone on my channel.
Today, a short guide on how to adjust the lights on Kawasaki Versys 1000 gen 3 - 2019-2023.

Kleine tip, je kan de lichten makkelijker regelen dmv een kruis of Phillips (PZ2) schroevendraaier. Bij 7.15 in je filmpje zie je de V vormige opening aan de zijkant van 8mm moer. Dit is door de fabrikant speciaal voorzien om een kruis of phillips schroevendraaier in te steken. De 8mm bout is aan de achterkant namelijk voorzien van een karteling zoals een tandwiel waar je phillips schroevendraaier in past. Bij 16.00 zie je ook weer iets lager die plastic V vorm om je schroevendraaier te geleiden naar de stelschroef (tandwieltje) .Hierdoor kan je makkelijk en snel je lichten bijstellen onderweg met enkel een (kruis) schroevendraaier .

Yes, same here and I think that the vivid white LED's contribute to this, although on a positive note it means they can see me haha but after viewing this video I think I'll make a minor adjustment and lower them ever so slightly

Interesting. Thank you for the video. I have a 2016 ZX14R with the high beam lights just fine, but the low beam lights (which are what I use mostly) are too low. I'll check tomorrow if the principle is the same. If it is, then, Sir, you really would make my day! If it doesn't work on my bike, then it's okay, too. Thank you still for sharing your info.

Very helpful video, thanks MotoAndy 👍. By chance have you posted how to remove fairings and access the fuse box that is located behind the RHS fairing ?. I would just like to know how to if I ever need to. I am really nervous removing any of the plastics haha

When adjusting the height of the headlights, you didn't mention which way to turn the bolts to go up or down. I'm guessing clockwise for down? Please let us know, thanks!

Hello Andy. Thank you for this illuminating video :) I have a problem with headlight adjustment of my 2023 Versys 650 which has the same type headlights as Versys 1000 as I can see from this video. It can not be adjusted properly. Even the most lower version of headlights are too high and horizontal adjustment just doesn’t cause any difference at all. My local dealer couldn’t fix that problem now they are gonna write the main distributor but I believe It is going to have some time before they fix it for me. The headlight assembly to the frame seems fine. Is there any method I can try to fix that problem aside from the headlight change which I think will be the dealers solution for that problem.

@@ozdedurukesim3146 Based on your description of the problem, I assume the adjustment mechanism is broken, so you did the right thing by going to the dealer for a new lamp. As you know, almost everything can be repaired, but that would require taking the lamp apart, so I don't know if it's worth the effort. Good luck.

Witam, Ściągam teraz takiego 1000 SE z UK i mam pytanie jak ta regulacja ma się do ustawień świateł UK vs EU ? Chodzi mi bardziej o to czy sama regulacja wystarczy czy jest tam coś jeszcze w tych lampach co trzeba zmieniać lub wymienić reflektory aby nie przyczepili się na przeglądzie? Będę Wdzięczny za pomoc.

No to jest bardzo dobre pytanie na które nie bardzo mam odpowiedź😅 zwykle motocykle, a przynajmniej te starsze z pojedynczym reflektorem miały inne szkło, w czasach LED i elektroniki nie sądzę że jest jakaś różnica w obudowie, zwykle szkło/plastik jest gładki a odblaski są różnie profilowane, na końcu filmu jest pokazane jak świecą światla drogowe i mijania na ścianie garażu, i jak widać nie ma tam takiej typowej krechy światła w górę jak to jest w reflektorach samochodowych więc podejrzewam że strumień światła jest uniwersalny. Mój kolega ma Hondę crosturera z UK i niczego nie musiał zmieniać.

@@javiergudelrobles2127 you don't have to loosen or tighten anything, you have to turn the screw clockwise to raise the light beam, or turn it counterclockwise to lower it. So left - to lower, right-to rise.

hello, I have the versys 1000 S and I have a problem with the corner lights on the right side, one of the three does not turn on! while it showed warning yellow on the screen with the indication CL (cornering lights). the diagnostic doesn't read any errors! what is the problem!?

@@stargazer4298 try unplugging and plugging in the electrical connector of this light, if that doesn't help then either the LED has burned out or there is something wrong with the control (gyroscope) I suggest connecting a lamp from another Versys and checking if it works properly

@@MotoAndy Thank you for your reply, I will try to do what you said. there is also a problem that others who have this model also have... when the engine is warm, it does not start the first time and the CL warning or semi-active suspension warning appears on the screen, have you heard anything about this?

I've never had any problems with starting when the engine is warm, but the lights coming on from time to time are nothing out of the ordinary.

I would just like to know who at the Kawasaki factory sets the headlight adjustment..... is he cross-eyed or something? My low beams were pointed at the sky, and the high beams were even worse.
