Really good info- thx Here's a tip tho for those that want to give up on the video a minute in- go to settings and set to play at 1.5 speed instead of normal speed and it becomes watchable

Mine was cutting out at 90 and I was able to set it at 150 which is plenty for my use. Thanks for putting this together.

It's a free video on the Internet... I don't get people who complain about a free service not being good enough for them, when they willingly choose to view it. You have options to help yourself instead of bitching: set the speed to 2x, skip ahead 10 seconds at a time by double tapping the right side of the screen or using the arrows on a keyboard, or moving on with your life and watch something else. Even at it's simplest and most basic from, recording, editing, and uploading a video takes a lot of time. I didn't hear him advising anything and YT doesn't pay much. I doubt he's making much off this, yet he's still here doing it. Bitching at him like you have is like choosing to go to a Chinese restaurant, and complaining that they don't serve enchiladas and cheese burgers. Going to a football game and bitching it's not baseball. It's just petty and makes us all look bad. Europeans visiting the US are always surprised by how friendly we are because most of what they see online are Karen's and Richards complaining about every little thing. Grow up dude.

Thanks a lot man I just did it on a fortress 2 gallon quiet air compressor from Harbor freight and it worked psi was 135 and Kickin at 93 now. Psi ass 150 kick in is 115. It works amazing the tank it’s rated for 200 psi pressure so it works.

The cool thing about mine is that it has a plate stamped on the side showing the tank is good to 168 PSI at some crazy temps. Not too worried about getting the advertised 135 PSI.

Thank you sir I was wondering my was only going to about 155-160 and it’s rated for 175 but I think I’ll go ahead and keep it how it is

Dear Mike, That was simply awesome... I am planning on picking a 50 Liter 2 HP Oil free Air Compressor, ( Elephant Brand, India) however the tank pressure gauge is marked at 8 Bar ( for safety reason by the manufacturer) while the gauge shows up to 12 Bars... and I was wondering how do i change this settings to 10 bars... ( 130 to 140 PSI) . Your video has indeed boosted my confidence... and I shall try this method following all your safety tips and advice that you have mentioned this video. I truly appreciate all the hard work and time that you have spent on making this wonderful video. Thank you very much.... Good Luck and God Bless... Antony Edward Paul, Bengaluru, India.

I have a 5hp 26 gallon husky rated for 135psi but i am going to crank it past the 135 to keep ip with die grinder. The kick on is under 90psi

Great video but is it dangerous to increase the max psi from what the manufacturer has it at? I have a 120max psi compressor and I really need about 10 more psi for one of my tools but don't want to blow anything up.

😮yes canu lower the air down on same screw I have a paint sprayer that says not to go over 50 psi does that mean that they’re farm on 120 that I have to lower it to 50 psi😊
@jefftrnavsky6934 Жыл бұрын
No, don't do it that way, you need a regulator, then set the regulator at 50 PSI.

My pressure switch releases air at max cut off but does not stop blowing air off until it cuts back on it has done this with 2 different switches mine is the same as your in the video

Engineers are required to label the max or capacity of everything far lower than the actual failure point. Which is a good thing. If it says 175psi it's likely been tested and good for at least 240. With compressors, the deadliest thing nobody thinks about, it's better to stay lower because nobody drains the water as often as they should and the tanks are more than likely not as structurally sound as they were new. 150 should be fine. I have the same one set to that, and I'm the average consumer that sucks at draining condensation. I need to pressure test it and scope the inside. It's probably pretty bad tbh. Good video though

remove cover from pressure switch.turn screw clockwise ... thats how to adjust pressure from the tank. pointless if you can't get that psi past the regulator . how do i get that same psi output from the regulator?
@russellseaton2014 Жыл бұрын
Do a Google search on "air compressor regulator replacement". Harbor Freight, Amazon, others, sell replacement regulators from $6.29 up to $18 or more. 80 psi, 125 psi, 140 psi, 150 psi, 300 psi, etc. Simple and easy to thread on a new regulator. Or the easiest route is to just put in a T valve before the air goes to the existing regulator. Put a quick connector on one end of the T and you will have whatever air pressure is in the tank. You will bypass the regulator.
@ENZIO9025 күн бұрын
Remember before you do this, especially if it's an old compressor tank with signs of rust. Make sure the tank can handle the pressure. If that tank explodes, you can be severely injured! You should view videos of air compressor tanks exploding ! It's not good .
@alexk6745 Жыл бұрын
Now I got why compressor blow up when some people use them. I'm here to reduce PSI to make sure it won't blow up. But the video author was increasing. I would not do this. I would better to add additional tank to increase volume instead of increasing pressure.
@russellseaton2014 Жыл бұрын
Your idea only solves one of two potential problems. It solves the HVLP painting problem. You need high volume and low pressure to move the paint. But a nailgun for instance needs high pressure but minimal volume. A nailgun would leave every nail above the wood with your method. You have to balance pressure and volume to deal with all situations.

And it's also misleading. If I buy a air compressor with Max Psi being 175, then I want 175 cause that is why I'm buying it. That is lying to the consumer.
