I have a servo motor, I can;t tell where this function is on it?

Servo motors can vary, but typically, you should look for a control panel or buttons on the motor itself, or the control box that is attached to the desk. Check for any labels or symbols that might indicate functions. If you have the manual, that could be a great resource too.

What is that part the petal is attached to and can it go bad?

The machine uses a direct drive motor. The pedal is attached to a spring-loaded device, that detects how hard the pedal is pressed and controls the sewing speed. If you press the pedal with your heel, this device will transmit the signal to the machine, and it will cut the thread automatically. Some machines can even raise the presser foot by gently stepping back on the pedal or cut the thread if you press it harder (with your heel). Of course, everything can break down, but I guess the engineers must have thought about that before making it for industrial sewing machines. These machines are designed to run non-stop in the factories.

Does the pedal return to the highest position when you release it? Does the spring there work properly? Unfortunately, I don't have any other tips. I hope you find the solution to the problem.
