My chair arrived and creaks quite loudly when shifting weight or leaning back. Does anyone have suggestions for fixing?

I have love-hate relationship with this chair. The seatpan has a very weird shape, so you posterior is kind of hanging off it and is sandwiched between the plastic backrest and the seatpan which is not comfortable at all. This chair has no vertical position. The default position is reclined around 15-20 degrees. I looks like it's S-curved, but in reality the curve is so low, that you basically always seat recline and that causes neck strain. If you want to seat kind of upright, you have to use forward tilt. The problem is that this places armrests and seatpan in a very awkward position, reminds me of riding a motorcycle with clip-ons. The tiltlimiter is there, but the spring in this chair even at the lowest setting is so strong that the seat won't recline even to the first "tilt-lock" position if you weight 63 KG or less (neither me, not my girlfriend can put it to tiltlock position with just body weight, we have to flex leg muscles to do that). I have to put couple of ankle weights to the backrest to make it work more or less properly. I have no idea how HM designed this chair, but it does not follow the curvature of human spine and does not let you seat in an upright position without slouching. I always find myself slouching in this chair and trying to find comfortable position instead of working. I try to give it a chance everyday, but end up switching back to either ikea work chair or a regular chair.

Lol I wasn't sure why your comment on this video seemed so familiar until I realized I had read your review on the HM website and it's almost the exact same thing. I'm doing a ton of research so I'm reading EVERY comment and review. Thanks for sharing, sorry it didn't work out for you

@Invictus_trax I actually got the Sayl! I got the gaming edition but it’s mostly the same. I personally absolutely love it. It fits me really well, but I know it’s different for every person. Good luck finding a model to test out!

@Invictus_trax I did, Sayl came first, amazing lumbar support, Mira2 came second, then embody and finally Aeron. The fact it cost nearly i/3 of Aeron in my opinion outbalance the (likely) shorter durability of the foam vs mesh
