I'm trying to align 43 small circles on an arc (not a circle). Is there any way of aligning and distributing them evenly?

I've got two images that I want to align center to the canvas and distribute evenly spaced. Even though I have align to CANVAS selected, it is acting as if I have align to SELECTION selected. Also, Distribute is grayed out, not available. WHY? If I draw random shapes similar to what you have, it works fine.

Are they smart objects? Or rasterized layers?

@@DonaldDrennan very strange! Is it possible there are some stray pixels on the layers that would throw off Photoshop's idea of where the center is?

@@professorchris I don't think so, but I gave up since it wasn't working. I figured out where they had to go and set guides with snap to guides on.

@@professorchris One thing I really need a tutorial on is automating things. At first I tried to use the Contact Sheet macro to place two pages together on one page, rotated counterclockwise and centered, but I discovered it was scaling the pages up to fit, which I did not want. They need to remain the size they are. I have a huge list of pages that need to be paired two up on a sheet. Opening, rotating, placing them side by side and saving as PDFs is taking forever. I know there must be a way to automate it, but it's not as simple as recording an action. Maybe you could point me in the right direction. Thanks!
