I do my 'hive with a hair bun 'donut' accessory (from Sally's) and a small ponytail fall (from any wig shop). I make a small ponytail at my crown, thread the donut over it and secure with pins, lay the air fall over it and pin in place, put a section of hair from the top and each side over the top and pin, finally take hair from the sides and clip behind under the bump. Beehive in 10 minutes flat with no damage! But then I do mine on a regular basis both on and off stage. (I'm a bass player)

The problem with hair dressers that get a job in a high paying salon, they forget how to do a job with out 150 dollars worth of product! Amy Winehouse has a basic beehive achieved with a comb, bobby pins, and hairspray. I don't like hairstylist that tell my I can't achieve the same look with out the high price products!
