How to Analyze Trades on ThinkorSwim I Risk/Profile for Beginners (Step-by-Step tutorial)

The risk/profile page within ThinkorSwim allows you to analyze the risk on your positions as well as hypothetical trades you're considering putting on. It gives you a visual representation of exactly how you will make or lose money on a give trade.
Within the tab you can adjust inputs like stock price, time, and volatility to uncover your resulting profit/loss on the trade. You can also manage your position greeks and analyze the effect of a new trade before putting it on.

Hi, can you do a video explaining how to read the analysis graph (or price slices) on our portfolio to find out the impact on BP Effect? Like how much price movement would cause our available funds to drop below zero and incur a margin call?

What are those percentage numbers near the top of the chart section? Do they mean anything to the blue and purple line? If the blue and purple lines shifted to far left or far right, how do I understand about those percentage numbers? Thanks!

At the bottom right of the analyze page there is a button that allows you to copy a trade from the clipboard and it can then be analyzed or actually added to the trades that you put in manually.. I understand that, but what I want to know is that same button has a choice to import or export the trades. When you click it it will try to access a file. Does that mean you can put more than one trade in a text file and import several trades at once. That would be great if you could do that. Does anyone have any idea how that works.. Its very important to me and any info to get this answered would be greatly appreciated.

Nope, no way to change the color of the price slices. You can change the color of the two lines showing the P/L, but not the price slices.

why is the "stk" listed in the simulated trades when doing this?

There's always a line for stock even if you don't have a position or simulated trade for it. So for example if I was putting on a trade for an amazon put spread, right above it there would still be a line for stock (stk) but if there were no shares in my account it would just say 0.
