use qmake instead of cmake. this is because cmake doesnt fully support releasing to the google play store (changing the version_code is not easy)

is this advice still accurate? Cause i really consider to use cmake. Any honest suggestions if this is still an issue to set a version using cmake in google play store?

@@ChildOfDarkness85 they have had enough time to move most if not all things over to CMake, and as of qt6 LTS it should be fine to use CMake. I don't see why CMake would prevent it from working on the play store, so I would say that, yes, you can use CMake.

The best way is to start a simple project for your self, and by reading the qt documentation.

Hello, I wonder Whenever I run my Qt code on the android emulator, I don't see my Qlabel images but on the windows version it works fine

Some things arent supported on Android, spesifically some image types don't seem to work.

My device in Qt says "Connected" instead of "Ready to use" and the serial number is unknown, but I noticed you have a serial number for the emulated phone....am I doing something wrong? edit: I continued on through the video to see what would happen and it looks like it is getting errors for connecting to the virtual device to download the blank app. How would I go about fixing this issue? I imaging just putting in the serial number would help, but I can't seem to find where to edit that. Pressed the refresh button in "devices" and now it says "Ready to use" & the serial # shows up, but I still get all the same errors

What pc operating system are you using, and what spesific android phone is it? Have you made some modifications like installing a custom rom or anything in the developer settings?

While in that specific window where it shows the current state of the device, just press start AVD and it will pop your phone emulator, after that mine turned it's current state to "Ready to use"

Qt doesn't work as it should? -> Try to create emulator with Android Studio -> Android Studio doesn't work at is should? -> welcome to the club, buddy... Only developers get more money as long as nothing is working

You seem to be using Clang, this should only be the case if you are using MacOS or Linux. Try making a new project and follow along with the video, step by step :D

Creating an APK from a PyQt5 project using Qt QCreator isn't practical since PyQt5 is mainly for desktop apps, and Android apps use c++, Java or Kotlin.
