Sorry for the question, i am still new to blender and have been wanting to learn about shape keys. I've wondered if I make a shape key, for example to make a person smile, if I edit that in the pose menu or any other way will the shape key save that manipulated data and therefore ruin the shape key or when I click on the shape key again, it snaps back to them smiling.

I dont think you can melt it with only a fluid sim but you can definitely add it on top! Makes it even more believable but the comment mentioned shape keys so I wanted to explain that!

@@baeacI have been looking for the answer for a long time, how I could do a melting simulation so that the melting first starts on one side and slowly moves to the other side. But it could be the shape key, the solution is just a bit time-consuming, because with fluid simulation you can't control it like that or it's just me being lame The geometry nodes are too complicated even for me and it didn't work.
