I really love your unconventional style of presenting a rather serious topic, sprinkled with the right amount of humour and sarcasm. Would love to see a technical video on some SF related technology with the same style.

I'm casey benson and i'm starting my life over. I died of diabetes 3 years ago in the hospital and they dont know how I can back but I do my work here is not done. your video are helping me prepare mentally for my future in what ever I'll be doing. right now its video and photography on my own doing thing. I learned how to edit video. So far by renewing my mental thinking i rose my credit from 480 to 750 in a year how. I stopped using my debit card and use my credit car but only spend what i would in that mouth anyway. so in case of fraud its there money not mine. keep the videos coming, i'm not stopping i enjoy this hard work and mental struggle. I'm stronger than ever know.

Your Disclaimer was so true. This will actually make a person "look" responsible and not in reality change him/her. But this actually helped them jump ranks, 5 yrs vs 10 years to get into the same position. Have seen practical before your theory. ;)

Hehe maybe you’ll like this one David. I’m notorious at my company for prepping each meeting by attaching one of the “meeting notes” google doc templates to the calendar invite. During the meeting, I’m the one that fills it out (to everyone’s delight) which means I control the narrative of what happened (to my delight). When they ask me in a few weeks/months what happened during “x” meeting, I click the calendar invite for that meeting, open the attached meeting notes which shows I completed 10/10 (trivial) action items and they are all 0/2 hahaha. So far this foresight has allowed me the time to enjoy the luxuries of long youtube comments and autocorrected grammar. Hire me David!

I have quickly gained a reputation for being a Trello and Confluence Maniac because every single task goes into Trello, and *everything* gets documented in Confliuence. Nothing remains hidden. But it has unintentionally made me the go-to person for a lot of things. Not bad ;-).

Hey David, you recently mentioned “personal projects” in a video. Can you explain a bit more what they are and how one can go about starting/building one?
@dvdkliu2 жыл бұрын
This KZfaq channel is an example of one. Another example, if someone is trying to get a Salesforce job, would be to use Salesforce to track and report on their job applications. Since the personal project has to be relevant and interesting to you, there's not really very specific things I'd recommend broadly!

Austin Wellman 0 seconds ago So much like your story… 5 years ago I got my undergrad in Fashion Merchandising and am now pursuing my MSBA and potentially data science down the road. I love learning lol… 1) what coding language do you suggest learning 2) my company is working with PWC to integrate salesforce but I want to have knowledge of the architecture and development process before it gets integrated so that I can be one step ahead to be the lead by default because no one else in my department (sales support) would be qualified. Should I stick to trailhead or get the certifications? .

These are absolutely phenomenal tips. I followed 95% of them from my career life. Due to covid19 I lost my job. My Head quarter was in Denver, CO. And I live in Bangladesh. Completely opposite time frame but managed 3 yrs super successfully 👌. I miss my job.😥 Anyway, 5% which I did not follow - "not putting full name on every email". Is it for chain email only? 🤔

Hey David, I am just curious based on what you said:"...for people like me, who have this constant need for other people's validation...". How do you feel about recording videos and watching into the camera without any live feedback? :D :D

It is delayed gratification 🤣 I do generally like it though because I usually take many tries to get the message I want out 😁

IMO data scientist has longer legs. Especially if you don't tie yourself to one platform. The same could be said about becoming a generic developer but that IMO is a more difficult path
